King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions

Recommended Posts

If Buster wants big bucks for hire or the stadium and promotion rights to run speedway at KingsLynn. It may put off someone wanting to run there like a previous poster has said it’s not looking good for next season. This may open the door for Swaffham Saxons to run as no speedway at lynn, wouldn’t surprise if Mr Brady is already doing his groundwork. The track would need converting but it could be made to a Belle Vue style track. The track surface at lynn is terrible for speedway.

I’m a Lynn season ticket holder having moved into the area a little short of 2 years ago. I previously lived in Essex and have seen my previous teams Hackney, and Lakeside pack up. I have occasionally watched Rye House and more so Kent Kings before they fell by the wayside. and prior to moving saw maybe a third of home fixtures each season at Foxhall  following Lakeside’s demise.

As you may have gathered I am a speedway fan as opposed to a follower of a particular team. That said Hackney was my number one team. Zenon, Bo and Thommo.. And a special mention for AJ at Lakeside.

I was sad to see the Panthers go, but won’t get into the Buster was or was not at fault.

Would I go to Swaffham to continue to get my fix it it come to it.probably. Not that I think it will happen.

I hope we will continue to get our fix at Saddlebow Road for a few years yet,

Peterborough need to be in Peterborough. History has proved that going out of the area and hoping the crowd follows doesn’t work.
Glasgow at Workington

cradley at stoke

Scottish monarchs at Glasgow

and Birmingham thinking the wolves fans would go in large numbers to Perry Barr

Quite a few Wolves fans go to Perry Barr with the Wolves links from last season plus having Fast Freddie back.

Ah, the Hawks! I remember watching the riders you mentioned (mid 70s?). Barry Thomas and Dave Morton also come to mind. My one recollection  of the Hawks visiting Leicester is when former Lion Keith White was riding at reserve (he was at No.7 for a reason of course) and was unbeaten from five rides! Never did that for us! Can’t remember whether that swung the meeting for Hackney or not.Nostalgia……it’s not what it used to be.

Is another Belle Vue the best blueprint?  I think the track is over-rated and defaults to the wide line too early. From what I've seen and heard lately, the new Swindon and Workington are better racetracks.

Theres got to be a slight concern that Wojdylo is going through the motions of a rider who appears as if hes about to quit ,

copycat of Tarasenko's last meeting at Sheffield  for Lynn

He has never done that well at Sheffield. In his 3 or 4 meetings his highest score is 3.I thought that track would suit him personally.

He won his first ever race there for Peterborough last season then followed up with a few duck eggs ,

hope for Lynn's sake he doesn't quit as its all you need , especially if Basso is also hurt

I hope he don't,i'm sure he is ok there. He looked well happy on the truck at our last home meeting after a win,he was taking selfies on the truck with the team.Incidentally there was a Peterborough fan said he was going to quit in early May,that has proved wrong so far.

I think he's just a one track pony unfortunately.

Fingers crossed that Ben is ok as he's really been looking the part at Lynn recently.

I agree with you on both counts.Wojdylo has been a match winner at home, but totally the opposite away. When you see what he can do at home you just expect him to get around at least 5/6pts away, but he falters almost all the time.

Edit:Having just looked,he hasn't done too bad away this season, although a couple of tracks he seems very poor at.Plus he was very fortunate to get 5 at Leicester, should have been 3.Even so he should be doing better going by his home form.
