Has anyone said that?

Earlier in this thread Mr Blobby said "I’d get rid of the lot for next year. We’ve been nothing short of embarrassing all year."

But I'm sure it was just a knee-jerk reaction to a very disappointing team performance.

Half the team have actually upped their averages this year (Cook, Castagna & Fredriksen), statistically Pickering has been one who's dropped the most off his average. Of course that means, he now has the potential to up his average next year.

Which is "worthy" of being in the play-offs. The 6th best team in the league "deserves" to have a chance at the title, as voted by the clubs pre-season.

Don’t suppose when clubs went for top 6 for play offs that they imagined Edinburgh and those below would be so poor. Been a weak year for Monarchs and not helped by an ill judged remarks

Only 70 minutes to run a meeting must be a record lol

They were trying to put us Monarchs travellers out of our misery

Congratulations to Scunny and Thank heaven for Josh Pickering

Which included a lengthy track grade & water spray when Pickering had 2 on the trot plus the delay in rider choices for heat 15.

Yup would have been under an hour without the above.

I honestly can't understand anyone thinking finishing 6th out of 9 means you deserve to be in the play-offs.

But "officially" (as it was voted in) they deserve their shot at the title.

Beggars belief. May as well just make the entire league a big knock out cup. They might get the fixtures completed in time that way too.

Just a note. Were any of the Edinburgh riders fined for their pre meeting parade practice starts on the back straight without wearing helmets? Probably 3 or 4 of them.

do they realize what danger they are in when doing things like that, we cant have people being responsible for their own safety, :nono:

Maybe a rule change,if I remember correctly they could not go round on parade without helmet on at one time.

The second part is true but practice starts with out helmets is banned with a £100 fine & has been in the rules before so is not a new one.

You can have a clutch malfunction( happened not long ago) or can flip a bike during a practice start & land on your head.

Quite apart from that is it not a condition of the local council issuing a safety certificate or whatever is required to allow the venue to operate?

I see Max Perry has been called up to the NLRC in place of Dan T, despite Ashton Boughen being higher in the averages? If Boughen can be excused from racing in the NLRC stands to reason Jenkins & Atkins must be allowed to as well?

No Perry was above Boughen on the qualification date.

Despite being announced in early Sept the field was done on 1 August greensheets.

Madness I know.

It also meant Sam McGurk was annound in original line-up despite having been overtaken by Luke Harrison in the Worky averages

That was supposed to be posted in the Oxford vs Redcar page, don't know how it ended up here!
