Literally no point finishing top if Oxford and Poole are going to pick each other. Although I do get it from a crowd point of view. Prob each others biggest crowds of the season. And agg win was only within 2 points.

A playoff final between Poole and Oxford Would also be a crowd puller

Was thinking about it makes sense for Oxford or Poole to pick Edinburgh and Glasgow logistically if can have both away meetings on say Friday/ Saturday on a sort of northern tour. But you're relying on the autumnal Scottish weather I suppose

Could end up the same way as the Jubilee Final

If, and it’s a big if, Poole and Oxford make the final, then Poole fans will need to buy tickets at Oxford early or could miss out. Going to be a sell out with many hundreds of Poole fans making the trip. But Glasgow now look very strong with Tarasenko.

to be fair after his last few meetings, his services weren't up to much anyway!!

However to be serious, the guy has some major health issues to overcome, and for his own good and others, he should have to pass some sort of approved health exam before being allowed back.

Yeah but their bottom end is the problem.

I think the dark horses will be Redcar.

Problem being if his mental health issues are treated with medication he may not pass drug tests.

Sadly he has to think long term and if that means retiring early although he may feel he has a few years then it must surely be worth it especially as he has a young family.

Can but wish him all the best and thank him for the entertainment he has given us over the years

Congrats to Poole. Different class. Lawson very impressive - more of that on Friday please!! Also, Newman deserves a mention, paid max - some hard but fair riding!

3 points compared to (paid) 21 points from the respective reserves says it all really.

Not much of a contest but Poole didn’t have a weak link really. Even Zach Cook who would be disappointed with his return had some speed. Good that Lawson got some laps in ahead of Friday but Kye slowing as the meeting went on was a bit of a worry. I thought Jacob was worth more than his three points and would almost certainly have got a paid win had he not been clattered in ht14.

Seen him in the pits after (and spoke to Kyle) and Zach is battered and bruised but could have been a lot worse.

At first viewing I thought his fall was a cert to be a shoulder or collarbone injury but he seems to have avoided the worst
