Don’t think it matters. There were enough hints last night at Oxford that Poole and Oxford may  pick each other. Can’t think why announcer emphasised Oxford will have a home meeting next week but maybe not on Wednesday unless they think Birmingham will make play offs.

The only possibility of Oxford & Poole meeting in the group stage would be if the groups are regionalised not through clubs picking their opponents.

Well I can't see it & I've been to Specsavers :D

This will be my first live speedway meeting since April, 2016.

I’m excited for the following, in no particular order: the smell, the chips, Chris Harris and Scott Nicholls.

Sorry about the smell but there's nothing the club can do about it short of moving Ashfield further from Possil.

Think you might need to go back!

Danny Ford stated last week that he was very hopeful of staging a home meeting on Wednesday 13th.

I find it very hard to imagine Poole & Oxford picking each other, thought they are bound to want to save that for the final?

Wots that got to do with Oxford as we cud be racing anyone at home on the 13th & he said he had spoken to several clubs about that Wednesday.

I'm confused & Specsavers shut at the moment!:D

Poole fans like dog poo, gets everywhere :o

I thought this was a fan site for some honest and light hearted fun but clearly your comments and many other relating to Poole are not.I have said before I wish all teams were equal and any team could win the title and I still wish that could happen but after all the nasty and negative comments on here regarding Poole I hope we win the the title for the third year running

Don't think the bonus is beyond us here. Of the Oxford top 3 only masters is consistently very good around ashfield, Nichols and Kerr are bit up and down. Their second strings and reserves don't really have any kind of form around the track at all. If Vadim can hit the ground running I'd fancy 53-37 and sneak it

I honestly don't know what to think about this fixture. I can see everything from Oxford sneaking a 46-44 win to Glasgow cruising to a 55-35 victory. So many unknowns on how people will perform. Guess that's what makes it such an exciting fixture - that and the fact both team have plenty of racers, so it should be entertaining.

Yeah plenty variables as you say. Will Oxford be more motivated than usual knowing a win puts them top? I've seen a fired up masters countless times round ashfield and that's a hard man to beat. Track conditions in 27 degree heat going to be interesting too, hard day for the track staff

Think if Tarashenko hit the ground running Tigers will win.Masters is class round Ashfield though.
