It is only half a point too high if you add on 5% for Richard for being at home takes it up to exactly 9! King, Wright, Howarth, Schlein best choices. Scott Nicholls also fits btw, but prob not a choice for obvious reasons. But not stopping Josh guesting for Brum when could affect Edinburgh.

0.51 too high at home (0.94 away) which for a sport that works to 1/100 of a point is quite a lot!

If Dan Bewley is allowed to replace Lawson in the Premiership then he should be allowed to do it in the Championship.

Yes it would be laughable if allowed but equally outsiders would raise the question why isn't it allowed when it's the same riders involved.

Anyways our Rocket Man is better than Dan......maybe :D

Sadly none of the promoters have signed up to my suggestion that riders should have a single weighted GSA, so until then I'm afraid no - it is a logical corollary of the current system that such pairs of riders will exist.

Unless Birmingham have booked him already.

It looks like Birmingham's easy option rather than to sign a permanent replacement for Nick Morris was to book Josh Pickwickering for as many of the remaining fixtures as possible (except for the meeting up in Edinburgh of course) - A semi-permanent guest #1 kind of arrangement kind of thing is probably better than having someone different every meeting.

Little known fact

Charles Dickens favourite Speedway rider was Josh Pickwickering.

I read it in the papers.

Charles Dickens is also amongst the younger end of the speedway fan age spectrum too.

  • It was said he penned a Speedway novel  called "Low Expectations" that was never published!

In London Victoria in plenty of time to av me Costa flat white :t:

Looking forward to seeing Ben Cook & Joe Thompson ride, not forgetting the rest of the Pirates.

Watched both the Thompson's progress at Leicester & I never thought I'd see one of them in Pirates colours. Joe is certainly at the right club for support after being messed about this season. It's great to hear all the fans getting behind him like they did with Nathan Ablitt. Great to see Joe getting the results on track.

Josh Pickering I'm sure will be amongst the points for the Brummies but the rest I dunno. Both Sedgy & Batch are disappointing when they should be better, I think Nielsen & Fergel Starkey pose a bigger threat.

Pirates to be clear in the distance with my predict-ometer reading 57-33.

C'mon the Boyzzzzz

Near perfect conditions for tonight..

Pre-meeting presentations also being made to Lawson and Worrall by the R.E.F.!  BEN Fund collection during the interval.

May be an image of 1 person and motorcycle

Proof of the different lines that can be taken at WINborne Road :t:

It might be just the pic, but there looks to be a big wave in the track opp the first tractor, and a fair few stones ?
