Peterborough v Sheffield - 21st Aug

Recommended Posts

Great heat 15, some really good races later on once the outside line developed. Just a pity it's so grippy low down early on. But still a wonderful speedway track and will be a great loss to the sport.

Get in Peterborough, Amazing what happens when we put a proper team out on track.

All about restoring some pride and cementing KL to the wooden spoon now.

Yes decent night for the home side - Sheffield not helped by only having 5 riders and also some just didn’t turn up tonight but the home side can only beat what’s in front of them - 2 weeks ago everyone would have said no chance of a home win

Think the wooden spoon is already cemented as you must know.

Home win and hope we can hang on for the bonus point, unless Ellis starts his season tonight and Tai gets an 18 point maximum

nearly got Tai's maximum right, did have 18 after 6 rides

Whatever it takes to get rid of Ellis it has to happen, if we qualify for the playoffs we cant have him in the team

Well done Peterborough, deserved win, and we still to go there again

The club should have invited some of the council and aepg to watch this tonight! That was some of the best speedway I’ve seen in a long time. This city needs speedway

Unfortunately it seems our current owner has completely given up as far as any future is concerned…..

Well he rides on a Polish licence. Can't have it all ways.

Was just about to say the same - Emil does the same of course!

That said re the pronunciation thing surely a bit of prep and asking the rider so how do you pronounce your name might be in order - Polish isn’t an easy language for us in the U.K. but writing it out phonetically would be a start - I was most surprised to see that Łódź is pronounced ‘wuj’ and I actually only learned that from a travel Tv show!

Emil does the same as you say but you don't hear him being called Polish, just poor all round like the camera work most of the while.
