For Ashton to help regain his confidence going into the bends, he is practicing in the close season on a tricycle and Here it is.IMG_2557.jpeg.a6337dd05f41858366680bb5aa43ce34.jpeg

I remember a post on here, around 2 years ago, from  Ashton/someone asking for somewhere where he can try speedway. Pretty sure he hadn't sat on a speedway bike then. He has come a long way since, and might  well read the forum. We have seen him in the  first bend. He will know what is happening, and will be working towards eradicating it.. I don't think posts like this will help imho.

He has been British No.1, and World No.8 at MX, with 20 or more rider all aiming for the first corner at once..Not speedway, i know. So he has something about him.He has the backing, so lets see where he is at the end of next season.

That’s just a bit of fun you plonker.

Yeah, I'm sure he would laugh and laugh if he read that. There's one plonker, and it's not me. You're a grown man - almost a pensioner apparently - grow up!

Absolute nonsense. This is a prime example of somebody having read a few comments on a forum and has judged Boughen because of it. Have you ever seen him actually race live?

I've said multiple times on this forum, it's not a traffic thing. He lifts off on the first lap on occasion (most noticeable at the start/first bend), but then gets going for the rest of the race and is quick. No idea why he does it, but he does. It's not really held back his progression (other than towards the end of this season), so let's see what he does next year before writing him off.

Perfect example that 1) he lifts off on the first lap, but 2) he's not afraid to mix it in traffic right here...

This is a really interesting video.

If you watch closely it really looks like he is rolling off the throttle on most entries to the corner and putting power on quickly afterwards to enter the corner and get the back end out which he has obvious speed with.

Maybe its confidence, maybe not wanting to get involved but looks occasionally like he has a wrong approach to enter corners.

If the latter, this can be coached out of him and as have I and many have pointed out, fabulous talent.
