Buster should just merge KL and Peterborough as one team next season, Home attendances would be good as you'll get all of the loyal KL fans as well as the loyal Panthers fans turning up every week.

Keep MT and CJ away..  We don't need hot air, and dont want to be expected to clean the bogs either

Fan wise it could work though, as you say.

But Thompson started the meeting, that is the difference.

Indeed and there is absolutely no reason why KL could not have done the same today and start the meeting!

I expect it will be confirmed that the real reason for the call off was the absence of Laguta and they dared not play the food poisoning or wrist injury card again.

There isn’t enough Championship riders for Championship teams (hence why some of them started the year with 6 rider teams) without added teams from the Premiership

That's this year. Without knowing how many teams might come to the startline next year that might not be an issue.

Laguta gone would be my guess.

Good riddance I'd say - the meeting at Foxhall showed where his skills are lacking.  There also seems to be too much will he won't he ride discussions about him.

No I don’t believe you would - not in the circle of friends I mix with who are all “loyal Panthers fans”.

I'm thinking something like this.

Buster (Owner) Unpopular choice but nobody else is going to buy a club off him now imo, Especially now that Leicester is up for sale which is a more attractive proposition.

Rob Lyon (Team Manager)

David Hoggart (Promoter) Has experience in this role from his Sheffield days.

Crendon Timber Engineering (Main Sponsor) seeing as City Auction Group (Tomalin) as well as Minors and Brady (Alex) will probably be a no go after the events that have unfolded this year.

Any KL or P'boro fan who has continued to turn up every week this season will certainly turn up next season because it couldn't possibly get any worse which means you'll always get a good turnout for home meeting as you've got the loyalist fans of two separate clubs turning up instead of one.

Well I wouldn't go to any meeting, & I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I wouldn't if the team was poor but you just know that every happy clapper who is turning up regularly at both clubs this year to watch their club take a battering every week would do so again next year if they're given the opportunity.

If half of your fans came, that would give a  really decent crowd, and hopefully a decent team. See what tomorrow brings.

He wouldn't be a bad owner. If a promotor did the deals and paid the wages, i don't think BC owning the stadium would be a problem at all.

If Peterborough aren't running next year, I would hope that Rob Lyon will be the first signing and heavily invovled in the team building.

Brady may have been fine with getting team to work together but Lyon is different class when it comes to decisions during a match. Klint made an impact as captain.

Sorry but if the Panthers move to Saddlebow Road we definitely will not go there. Equal distance from our home Peterborough / kings Lynn but I would sooner drive past KL to go to another track. If Panthers are back at the EOES 2024 then season tickets will be purchased again.

We will never step foot in KL unless someone else totally purchases KL so Chapman was not involved, sooner walk away from speedway than go there after this year at the ESOS.

It was just an idea from TTT. No more than that, so i wouldn't get to worried just yet. It could be worse, Tomalin might buy it :)

Whatever the reasons for the postponement it should be a final wake up call to the other teams in the league and the sport in general, the current business model does not work in the top league.

With the potential closure of one or to clubs and the understandable reluctance of teams to move up, now is the time to review where the sport is and set a new direction. Whatever the resultant of any discussions and no doubt it will not suit many, something new needs to be tried. To start, no clubs should be run/owned by the same person unless in separate leagues. Race nights should suit the club not the leagues preference. Introduce a wider range of meetings and disciplines to provide the punter with a sports experience not just a one trick pony, league racing, 15 heats take it or leave it. Unless club owners can see some benefit you will never see an independent body run the sport. What it needs if the powers that be can agree is a look back at why it was successful, why it has failed to keep pace with changing attitudes and what do the Poles do that make most league matches an event which just does not happen in this country. Who would not want to go to a stadium full of chanting fans and the atmosphere which at best you only get over here in the play offs. Polish teams in the top league get that atmosphere every week.

If it cannot or the owners do not want to run the top league as a professional sport and cannot commit to league meetings within a limited time frame and stadiums are not available and riders do not commit, then stop the league farce, drop down or the top clubs run open licences with individual meetings/events and operate a 4TT format.

No point in blaming Chapman or any other promoter, collectively they have got it wrong big time and they can either change or continue to throw good money after bad at the sport or walk away. No one else will step into the breach with the current business model, so it is change or fold.
