Ashton Boughen guesting for Workington at number 1. Can only see a big home win with Killeen at reserve, though.

Chargers: 1 Jordan Jenkins, 2 Jacob Clouting, 3 Ryan Kinsley, 4 Jody Scott, 5 Henry Atkins, 6 Luke Killeen, 7 Jason Garrad

Comets: 1 Ashton Boughen (G), 2 Sam McGurk, 3 Luke Harrison, 4 Luke Crang, 5 Ace Pijper, 6 Elliot Kelly, 7 Harry McGurk

Do we have luke or is he been borrowed by redcar?

Think the rules are comets keep luke, as he is a temporary replacement  for Redcar,  but as we know they make up the rules to suit themselves.  Could be a good guest in Ashton as he  is on fire at the minute   paid max at berwick on Saturday having his 1st visit

Luke wasn't a temporary replacement, he was just used as a guest each week, so Workington get priority.

But Redcar used him on the 21/7 & 28/7 both at home in the no7 position. How was this allowed as I thought you could only guest 2 weeks on the trot for the no1 position. He must be a 28 day replacement.

Just making up rules to suit like Mr Godfrey does

Rule 12.4.2 (b)

b) a rider may ride as a guest (in an official meeting) at a track only
once in an 8 day period (within that league) unless he is replacing
the home teams #1 or is an NDL rider guesting for the home team

Maybe as previously said a 28 day injury replacement, but letting luke get experience by allowing him to ride for the Comets

Redcar's 1-7 has shown Mulford all year, if Harrison was an injury replacement, he'd be in the 1-7.

I'm guessing the Harrison's decided guesting was preferable so he wouldn't get an average above 2.00 for next season (or Redcar only offered him the guest spot)?

A pretty impressive win tonight. Jenkins looks untouchable at this level now, and Garrad looks a useful addition at reserve. If the Chargers can do this to Workington without Killeen, it’s going to take a very good side to stop them in my opinion.

Eight day rule for guest doesn't apply to NL riders.  Same as Ben Morley guesting at Plymouth in consecutive weeks last year, before he then signed for them later in the season.  All in the rulebook.

Workington take priority as he is signed for them. It was discussed at length with the Speedway office as to what he could or couldn't do if he accepted the guest bookings for Redcar yesterday was a clash of fixtures so Workington got first call . At this moment in time there are no more clashes and if  Redcar are happy to keep using him till Jake is fit he will accept the rides.

Yup, the 8-day-rule is not used for NL riders and I think it's a decent rule, because otherwise it could restrict bookings for younger riders.  It's good that Luke can ride for Jake, expect for fixture clashes.

It would also have prevented Charger Nathan Stoneman guesting for the Cheetahs last year when covering for Josh Macdonald
