Sheffield v Leicester 10th August

Recommended Posts

Big home meeting for Sheffield where a win is a must to keep up their play-off chances and sure they’ll want to make up for the home loss against Leicester earlier in the season, both teams have made changes since last lining up against each other.

Not sure if the Rising Stars Gilkes and Kemp will be available for this one as representing Team GB in SON2 in Latvia on Friday, be interesting to see who the replacements are if that’s the case.

For Sheffield obviously Woffinden will want to make his mark around Owlerton although I don’t see him scoring anything like what Holder was doing pre injury, both him and Musielak will Have their work cut out against fast gaters in Fricke and Lawson.  Engine room should be where the meeting is won and lost with Howarth/Ellis/Pickering v Sedgemen/Worrall/Cook, can see those riders taking points off each other.  Think Sheffield will sneak this one by the odd point 47-43

Update

Ace Pijper in for Gilkes & Jason Edwards for Kemp

Isn't he in the same meeting as Rowe and the other youngsters.

Weather forecast is dry, so having been unable to do so for the two Aces visits to the Owlerton theatre of speed.  The second visit of the Lions shall be my annual pilgrimage this year.

Any tips on parking if I don't want to park in the car park? I don't mind a short 5 -10 minute walk

... should I decide to attend

Driving towards the City from Owlerton, there are loads of car dealerships you can park by.  You'll probably have to pass them and do U turn by the stadium to get to them.

Shove this in your Sat Nav: 608 Penistone Rd, Hillsborough, Sheffield S6 2FZ

Theres parking on Lowther Road right next to stadium, assuming you arrive early.  I have parked there a few times

and your straight out onto main road towards Sheffield after the meeting
