No thanks.

Terrible race track, the third bend hole reappears to sink the Pirates bonus point hopes. A terrible, terrible speedway meeting and I didn't even get to sing Sweet Caroline after heat 14

Thank god for that. I hate Sweet Caroline. Always has been a terrible song.

Got to be a team that can take 16 points down to wimborne road or don't bother.

Glasgow need at least 25.

Not sure choosing 1 and 3 was the best way to go in H15 either.

Also what did Sam Masters say in his interview? Apparently he made out he wasn't that bothered about riding for Oxford?

Pretty fair result all things considered. Both sides had some misfortune and some good performances. Track was in good shape according to the riders. Shamexaboutvthe bonus point but there it is. I doubt Pirates will lose by 14 away again. Oxford may well finish top but in this season's format I don't think it's too relevant as nobody will want to have Poole in their 3-team group.

Gonna be us, Glasgow and Redcar in one group by the looks of it.

Who's better at six Newman or Rowe? Cause if the goal is to keep Anders there for the playoffs he probably hasn't got the message yet.

I don't think it matters, they both score well at reserve. One good meeting for Rowe tonight, doesn't remove the multiple good scores Newman produced at 6.

Will admit racing for the neutral hasnt been great tonight. But in the stadium the atmosphere is great. Huge crowd. Still very close for the bonus. Both sides had bad luck with engine failures. Might be a golden heat.

I was one of those neutrals and I concur. Racing very poor

I think the total pass count not including engine failures was three, Anders heat two, and Cook heat 14. Oh and Anders passed his own team mate so maybe 4.

Was very processional and spread out. Only fight for BP made it interesting. Maybe it just too smooth now idk.

This season is a total borefest though tbh.

And also some fans not behaving it seems.

Not sure Oxford will finish top now to be honest. If Oxford and Poole both win all their home meetings, it will come down to if Oxford can get away wins at Edinburgh and Glasgow, and if Poole can win away at Edinburgh and Scunthorpe. If Poole win both away matches (which is entirely possibly), it means Oxford would have to win both of theirs - and not sure they will at Glasgow. Therefore the final points totals could be Poole 35 and Oxford 34. Of course the good old super heat could add some confusion into the mix.

It certainly was and we were never going to get away with that in a month of Sundays. :) Ref was bound to award it. Lawson wasn’t close enough.

Not a great deal of passing but kept tense for the bonus point, which went down to the wire due to Pirates dreadful performance at Cowley and a few incidents in tonight’s meeting.

Ben Cooks EF when leading cost us the bonus but Scott Nicholls had bike problems. The roller in heat 13 for Masters was let go by the trainee ref, which the who grandstand saw. Sod’s Law as in the first running Poole were on a 5-1 out of the second bend when Nicholls fell. Never the same result in a rerun.

A huge crowd there tonight showing Poole’s pulling power. Someone said there was only one turnstile? There are 6 in total to enter the stadium, all open.

Masters and Nicholls showing their liking for Wimborne Road. But Oxford are a two man team and were easily beaten tonight. And Heeps will be back in the team come the playoffs meaning Atkins and Killeen at reserve.

But congrats to Oxford in the bonus. Went to fine margins.

Really disagree with your two man team assessment, like said elsewhere Kerr is averaging over 8 and Atkins was scoring well at reserve .Jordan Jenkins has been very solid no less than Anders Rowe for Poole plus Heeps was solid enough at 2 previously this season. I would say Killeen is going to remain carried but no different to Ablitt for Pirates last season, Oxford are a good solid side who as a unit score solidly at most away tracks.

What's this on the socials? "Allegedly Poole fans throwing rocks at away fan supporters.

Surely can't be true.

Apparently someone on 1st and 2nd bend, throwing stones at away fans kids. I heard the dad swearing at someone about it on the way to the exit.

Another fantastic win by the Pirates this time over table topping Cheetahs.

The win was NID but the bonus point......what a valiant effort by the Boyzzzzz being 16pts up on 4 occasions only to av it snatched away in a last heat decider.

Poor old Ben in heat 9 with an ef when leading Nicholls & Masters turned out to be a crucial blow when it came to the bonus point. Luck came our way though with Nicholls early engine troubles.

Special mention to Nathan Ablitt.......well done lad you are on the way after your apprenticeship last season as a Pirate. The confidence in your riding is there for all to see and you took a well deserved lap of honour after heat 2. You've come a long way and you will go a lot further in your career.

C'mon the Boyzzzzz :t:
