Hamish McRaker
With regards to his signing for Sheffield, Tai Woffinden has said that riding in the UK (according to other riders he's asked) is better than it was several years ago. What, more specifically, does he mean?

Baldyman
I think he means Sheffield have a very good sponsor that will pay good money to get success,,, as his other team don't seem to be able to bring him any 1

What, more specifically, does he mean? He means that the majority of track are big and easy to ride now. e.g. N.S.S., Peterborough, Sheffield, King's Lynn. So it's better for him that having to go to tricky places like Kirky Lane, Lakeside, Eastbourne, Poole.
Phil The Ace
I would say tracks are generally better prepared now that they was a few years ago which is what Woffy was saying. that riders he’s spoke to said the track are much better prepared now. but like pottering said. That’s because majority are big tracks now Edited August 3, 2023 by Phil The Ace

Is it not just down to fixed race nights and riders being able to plan their calendars much more easily, as opposed to previously when race nights were all over the place?

Odd comment about tracks because he has been very vocal about UK tracks being poorly prepared and of course we have had the tyre gate issue at Peterborough and Pedersen didn’t even last a lap before being injured. Clearly the offer and timing suits him so he seems happy to skirt over that issue.

Doyle never seemed to have much trouble at Arlington and Poole, even the sort after Ryan Douglas was sensational at Arlington in his 2 meetings there after one ride to get used to the track, but even in his prime before abandoning British speedway Woffinden always moaned and groaned about most of those. blue witch
Other than NSS and what I've seen at Foxhall at times this season the tracks are gate and go like the GP's
szkocjasid
Maybe he means not having to go to Poole, where they prepare the track for the home team lol!

old bob at herne bay
As a falling star I guess he can see easy money on the slick as snot tracks in the UK with a lower standard of riders than say 5 years ago.
