Redcar v Glasgow CL 4/8/23 @19-30

Recommended Posts

Back to Teesside again tomorrow, this time on league business .

Really need to do better than we did there in the KO Cup , though Ben did well in his practice there last Friday . Bonus point up for grabs , so hopefully we can leave with at least that .

From the Redcar Website -

1. Wright

2. Hume

3. Bailey

4. Riss

5. King

6. Edwards

7. Harrison (G)

Tigers

1. Harris

2. Nowak

3. Basso

4. Vissing

5. Brennan

6. Complin

7. Pijper

Hopefully we have learnt from the KOC QF in March, so that we can do a little better and keep it a tighter affair! It was 51 - 39 at Ashfield back in July, so fingers crossed we can sneak the bonus point available as well :)

This could be close one.Riss is a shadow of the rider he was before illness.Glasgow though are inconsistent.

Vissing is also going through his mid season slump and is as slow as a week in the jail.

Hope Ben gets bike issues sorted out for tomorrow. 2 retirements at KL tonight

Looked like two chains he shed which is unusual , this was the expert opinion of Adam Roynon though, so it was probably two blown engines.

Whatever it was, I'm glad he took the guest booking otherwise the problems could have happened tomorrow night at Redcar.

Did he have Stoneman in his pits? I can't think of any mechanical failures he's had this season with him in the pits.

Basso should have been at five.

Team works better with Tom at 5 and Ben at 3. We tried it the other way round and it just didn’t work.

Yeah Tom and claus seemed to trip over each other. And both have had habit of poor meetings at same time

I have to agree with @Beirao that Basso should be at 5. Looks a weak pairing when Brennan rides with the reserves imo.

If Brennan & Vissing don't ride well together, why not try Vissing at 2 and Nowak at 4?

Meeting Postponed
Unfortunately the overnight rain has been the last straw and the track is now waterlogged, with more rain forecast today there is no chance of preparing a safe racetrack so we have had to make the tough decision to postpone today's match against Glasgow.

Switch it to ashfield, perfect weather up here today :D. Which is of course the usual when there's no speedway!
