Otherwise through no fault of our own we would miss out on top spot, which would make a mockery of the league section before the playoffs. Poole were going to win big anyway so it’s not like we would be stealing the points. Do you honestly think Poole should be awarded the victory after 5 heats? Again I'm sure on forums individuals aren't allowed to be targeted specifically, but I am seriously questioning your ability to tie your own shoelaces. Speedway is raced over 15 heats and a meeting result can only stand after 10 heats have been completed. Thinking a little further, are you by any chance behind the construction of the rulebook and league schedule this year, cause if so, that would make a lot of sense.

old bob at herne bay
I have always said and I still say that any abandoned fixtures should not be rerun , but each team awarded 1 point. Would incentivise the promotions to race the fixtures - and prevent casual call offs due to reasons various. Might be considered harsh ..... but we would see fixtures complete by the cut off and the p. offs being run in a timely manner. As for the fixture list .... never been any different in recent seasons.

As for this season's fixtures when you consider there were massive gaps in evey teams fixtures without weather disruption (Plymouth haven't had a home fixture since mid June) joke is the only apt description. I can only think that the stringing out of the meetings was to try and make the season seem fuller than what it actually is. Had they run a home league meeting a week for each team the season would've been over end of May. Based on a ridiculously warm August last year they seem to have stacked this month which has bitten them in the proverbial Again I know this is an Edinburgh thread, but Glasgow v Oxfords meeting has taken 4 months to reschedule!! Just as well it wasn't Oxford v Glasgow or it would have taken even longer to find a free Wed date for Glasgow's Danes lol

It may prevent casual call offs but unscrupulous teams could manipulate an abandonment to secure an otherwise unachievable point…lol.

Very true, the bottom 4 clubs could call off home fixtures against Poole & Oxford to gain 2 unlikely points.

Steve Shovlar
This meeting is now available on BSN. Obviously not the crash which caused injury to the photographer. The heat two takeout of Roynon is there though.

Yes I have seen it too, how Adam got excluded is crazy, Dayle Wood is a liability.

Ive questioned this in the past though who is at most fault...the rider who grabs opportunities that they clearly are not ready for or the promotion who put said rider onto the track? I always have and will lay the blame at the latter.

If I wanted a licence to ride and I've never slung a leg over a bike could/would I get one? And then if I bunged a promoter a brown paper bag full of cash, I'd be in the team!

Might be wrong but would have thought the Birmingham fixture was rearranged first and that they should be the first meeting on the night.
