It happened earlier in the season when Jason Edwards guested for another team in Redcar's THREE TEAM trophy group! Bonkers. It's like an Arsenal player turning out for Man City last season because they had an injury and helping them win. Football teams have squads, speedway isnt run like that, we have a guest system. Poole get a good guest, Complin earns a few quid extra, everyone's a winner.....except those who value sporting integrity, some of whom probably don't go any more having walked away. 1 minute ago, Bagpuss said: Yes I know but you miss the point. Along with clay tracks, home tac subs and race jackets. I'm just turning into a grumpy old man But I care about British speedway and hate seeing it going down the pan by its own doing.

Not sure we are battling with Glasgow for top spot either, Oxford look most likely the table toppers. Assuming both win at Edinburgh and lose their remaining away match (Cheetahs at Glasgow, and Poole at Scunny who are going well at the moment) then it all comes down to Wednesday's bonus point. If Pirates win at Scunthorpe next Friday it's probable top spot goes to Poole regardless of Wednesday's contest. Not impossible, but winning at Glasgow would be a tough ask for Oxford. And if Poole have a poor night at Scunny and lose by 10 they miss the bonus, meaning it could all go down to race points (based on my initial assumptions with Pirates getting Wednesday's bonus).

You are obviously referring to Lambert last year, he wouldn't have been signed had Fricke not had his awful crash in Poland. Better than guests!

As it was a short notice booking what's better than using a local guest rider!? You can hardly expect someone like Ablitt to travel all the way up from Hastings!! A perfect summation of why you cannot take it seriously... Why would "Ablitt" be the only alternative? Is it because there is an "Ablitt Rule" for guest riding, similar to the "Bomber Rule" that seems to be in place for Heat Leaders in Div 1 and 2?... BacktrackBandit
Hans Anderson turning right on Steve Worrall on the back straight then left down the home straight was definitely the highlight of the night - unreal

"Speedway isn't run like that" is not quite true, Sweden and Poland both run squad systems. "British speedway isn't run like that" would be the correct statement. In football comparison, we (British speedway) are probably kicking around the Vanarama national League level of international speedway. If Complin isn't on the shopping list for Berwick 2024 after his performances there this year then there's some cages needing rattled.

You'll have to explain to me @foreverblue why my reply was funny. It even went to court and was decided upon by an independant judge, which shows that the BSPL are so incompetent that they don't even know their own rules.
