British Under 21's

Recommended Posts

What an event today and for those saying speedway is on its last legs in Britain clearly are unaware of the talent coming through.

It was most definitely a meeting of two halves. Those U21's riding in the main body of the team and those at NDL and reserve level.

Every single one of them battled it out for their 5 heats, Dan Thompson has never been that good round Ashfield, gutted to be honest that he couldn't hold on to first place In the final after the season he's had with club uncertainty and changes.

Dan Gilkes first visit and what a boy, big shout out to the Plymouth fans, never heard a group so loud.

Sam Hagon was great, Nathan Friggin Ablitt !!! Out the traps like a whippet (none of the off the pace 2022 crap), Drew Kemp great hard racing, Jason Edwards the" Bilracay blaster " was on fire till gate 4 in the semis,

Anders Rowe looked like he was in a different league smashing through his qualifying heats only to be caught between drew and Dan in the finals.

Finally Conor Bailey, with the experience he's had at Ashfield, showed it today from 4th to first in the final showed that he was more than worthy of the title.

Could watch meetings like that every week and if you've missed it get a replay on BSN.

Excellent advert for the young Brits.Interesting to see how many can make the jump to the next level though. You have too wonder how the sport in GB is going to help them though.
