Leicester vs Kings Lynn 17/7/23

Recommended Posts

On paper this could be a close one but in reality I think it will be an easy 3 points for the Lions already leading 47-43 from the away fixture.

It will be good to see Artem Laguta at BP , Nicolai Klindt can never be ruled out round Leicester & Troy Batchelor make his debut.

Leicester

1. Max Fricke

2. Justin Sedgmen

3. Troy Batchelor

4. Chris Harris

5. Richard Lawson

6. Jake Allen

7. Drew Kemp

Kings Lynn

1. Artem Laguta

2. Kye Thomson

3. Kyle Howarth (G)

4. Thomas Jorgensen

5. Nicolai Klindt

6. Simon Lambert

7. Anders Rowe

Easy win for Leicester,Lynn have 4 reserves,2 second strings and 1 heat leader. We will lose every match, bar maybe Peterborough, even then I think Peterborough are better than Lynn on paper.

A bit harsh, but you do actually live in the real world. Klindt and Laguta will have to deliver a bare minimum of 20 points between them if the Stars are to have a sniff. That would then require the other members of the team to average 5 points each. The fact that Eurosport aren’t covering this may suggest how likely an away win is.

Really hope this is going to be a little closer than it looks on paper. Laguta should like Leicesters track like Emil. Howarth should get the better of batch and bomber and klint is a track specialist at Leicester. Even Simon Lambert has had good meetings at Leicester before. So I hope it's close .

Key thing here though is confidence and momentum... and Leicester have it abundance right now.  Personally I think Laguta will do well to get to 10 from 5 rides... Potential for 3 races vs Fricke, another with Bomber likely all over him and Lawson no slouch, so as much as it would be great as a spectacle to be close, I can't see it.

Comfortable win for Leicester, big scores from Fricke, Lawson and Sedgy, backed up well by rest of the Lions.  For Kings Lynn can’t see Klindt performing same as the pairs he’ll have his usual firsts and lasts but will more than likely end up their top scorer with Howarth pulling in a good haul also, don’t think Laguta will take to the track especially going into bend 3, as usual Lambert will give his all for his team,  score line of 54-36

Not to mention a number of riders doing practice starts on the parade without their helmets on!

That's what i like to see,a throwback to the old days where fans could familiarise who's who really.Would like to see more of this.

By my reckoning though Lions riders are going to be down £400 between them tonight
