And they knew about Morris less than half an hour before the start? Smacks of getting the fans and the money in for a big draw like Glasgow and Harris and then saying your number 1 isn't riding.

Your post completely misunderstands the process of random drug testing in speedway.

A drug test would be carried out about an hour, hour and a half before the meeting so yes they wouldn’t of know till about half an hour before.

Gotta feel for the Brummies promoter really - Goes to great efforts to revamp the team and this happens and lets be clear no one (except maybe the rider himself assuming it is what is suggested) could have forseen this! Only popped by to see how Batch was doing and saw the latest news!

Still they did stress Botwell might be having up to 7 rides a meeting :(

and in the half hour thats left they would have desperatly been trying to figure out what to do - time flies in a crisis - that 30 minutes would have felt like 5

Some people don't think before they post do they!

Rumour on terraces is failed test but the rumour seems to be from social media.

Lack of RR facility suggests that track paramedic would not issue a certificate for what ever reason, if failed test would be nothing to do with paramedic anyway but lots of ifs and buts.

Track is poor, atmosphere is dire, probably 600 in a fair bit more than last twice I've been.

Typical brummie rumour linking coke bottles and coke, either way hard to see Morris back here again.

If no facility is allowed should there not be 3 races with only 1 Brummie? Also why isn't a facility allowed when Lynn got one when Artem Laguta had "food poisoning"? Surely if it's a non-speedway injury / illness Brummies should be allowed to use r/r & Morris gets a 7 day suspension? I've never heard of there being "no facility" but the reserves being able to take all the rides, are they making up the rules on the spot?

Where's Bomber when you need him... oh riding for the other side :D

I've only seen 4 heats on the stream so far, but the racing has been pretty good with passing in all of these. Heat 12 a classic!

Don't really take great deal of satisfaction from that. A win is a win and was some good racing in 2nd half but just wonder where this leaves Birmingham. I imagine a lot of unhappy, disillusioned supporters who might vote with their feet. And through something of no fault of the promotion

I am sure the SCB will give a full explanation as to what transpired it’s the least the Birmingham fans deserve.

You really have to feel for the Brum promoters as they seem to be getting a kicking at every turn through no fault off their own.

Tough one on the promotion but some riders really need to take a good look at themselves getting paid to do a sport and hobby that they love and they let their employers and the fans down big style, if what we are hearing is correct.

Let's wait for the facts first, but if the rumours are true they should throw the book at him
