Both second strings had lower averages & Glasgow were very keen on their top 3. He was unlucky to lose him team spot, but don't know who'd they'd have swapped round to keep him in? Danyon at 2 and Jason Edwards at 6 I think may be 0.04 over with the Brit discount. But that's what I would've liked to see. As soon as Basso was brought back (which is awesome to watch week in week out) we had to go 5,5,4,2 (for our 2nd strings and reserves.) I'm sure Danyon would have stayed of asked, but Edwards was never leaving Redcar. Would also have been 0.47 over the limit. I'm sure Danyon would've loved to stay, but you can see where Glasgow is struggling now and I'm sure the Bilirichy Blaster ( the best nickname in championship speedway)would've been a solid 6. Bandit59
I get you guys wanting to win the league or whatever but you're spoilt for superb racing week in week out,at least you go home having watched great racing not like some fans with gate and go and I include Berwick in that

Must have got a JCB to do a night shift for the work to go unnoticed.

And we are. I think the majority of the fans here would take the racing over trophies too, as long as we're generally doing well.

I do agree though I would rather have kept Danyon.

I don't think there's any Glasgow fan that wouldn't have wanted Danyon in the team this year, last year his bloody inconsistency was at home and both times he's been up he's scored well from the number 2 spot. His averages dropped to 5.2 from 5.8 so I don't know how he's doing elsewhere. That was the problem he couldn't fit in at 5.8 Edited July 8, 2023 by Cast1rn

Danyon was the lowest scoring rider out of all the riders at Ashfield last season, but was scoring better than most (including Tom and Basso) away. But Danyon always tries and never gives up. I would have him at Poole any day and was gutted when he was left out. Look at his attitude compared to Nowak.
