How is it poop? They are wind in the willows characters! Who wants to be the grumpy badger? I vote for Gaz :D

Wasted ! you clearly have never read it then  chapter 6 mr toad

you don't promise,' said the Badger, `never to touch a motor-car again?'

`Certainly not!' replied Toad emphatically. `On the contrary, I faithfully promise that the very first motor-car I see, poop- poop! off I go in it!'

Not since I was under 10! I did well just to remember the characters. Your memory is definitely better than mine. The poop poop went right over my head then. We need a facepalm emoji for me :D

Don’t get me wrong Poole are probably the best run speedway team and most successful they always seem to have good crowds and get really good sponsorship every season and since they’ve dropped down have assembled really strong teams I think more teams should aspire to be like them and I get a winning team makes fans etc confident there’s nothing wrong with that but sometimes you and others do go ott.

Glasgow are trying to, but failing miserably

And gloating isn’t a form of trolling when it’s done to annoy someone? Don’t tell me you agree with him!

Of course it’s not! Celebrating a win will annoy the losers. That’s how sport works. Losers have to suck it up. Without the emotion, sport is worthless. All fans suffer loses. Get over it and move on.

There’s celebrating a win, and the way some Poole fans celebrate a win. Brasso, for instance! I think you’re clever enough to know the difference.

Thought it was great wordplay myself.

So Poole fans are not meant to grin and celebrate when we win? Ridiculous!

If course other fans don’t want to see Poole win. It’s a sport! Our victories won’t last forever and when we lose other fans will celebrate.

It’s the same in all sports when one club dominate for a period.

I completely agree with you Steve and hopefully we will get to gloat too one day when Glasgow gets their hands on some silverware.

The sore point from the opposition fans, is that we know that the starts are deliberately doctored to disadvantage visiting riders. After the third bend, lap one you might as well get the chequered flag out cause the riding order doesn't change. Unless I've misinterpreted what Danny King and Richie Lawson were refering to on BSN?

Last night at Glasgow there were two teams battling it out on a fair race track and there was more genuine passing there, then there will be at Wimborne Road all season.

Last point. . .

The way to a fair final, is to hold it at a randomly selected nuetural venue with a one off meeting.  Where the riders will be left to determine who the best team is and not the track set-up.

The idea of the playoffs is for clubs to maximise their takings. Last year we all trooped over to KL for the second leg of the final and there were about 350 fans there. Neutral venues do not work.

I totally agree with you, without playoffs teams in 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th and probably 7th and 8th :D this season would have nothing but pride to race for.

Again with the additional revenue point, keep the quarters and semis in the two leg format so the clubs can reap the rewards of making it that far but have the final at a suitable neutral venue on a flipping Saturday or Sunday planned well in advance.

With the Trooping to KL point, that's irrelevant, how many of you will be travelling to Glasgow a week on Friday (even if the first meeting had been closer) anyway. In the current format where the trophies going to be handed out will be a potential long trip for 50% of the fans anyways.

The way to a fair final is not a neutral  track, it will always favour one team or the other and if you have injuries you can get track specialists to guest.

While the play-offs, especially finals can bring in big crowds, which I why they're here to stay. How many fans pick & choose their matches throughout the year as they are less important, especially for clubs guaranteed to be in the top 6?

We'll never know but it's possible the play-off system lowers attendances during the season?

Not much picking and choosing this year. Barely enough meetings to remember what the sport’s like some months.

Hence the number of tracks who run NDL teams, and can fill out their summer

The Berwick NL crowds have got to be 1/3 of the Championship crowds. We’d all of preferred to see 2H2A with no NL rather than having 6 weeks without Championship meetings throughout the summer.

And how many of those are financially killing themselves by doing so?

Also some (mentioning no names) still see the "need" to run Double Headers and (in my opinion) overcharge for the "privilege" of attending them and then have no fixtures in the next few weeks.

Not everyone wants to go and watch NDL matches especially if they have to travel a fair distance,to be honest I streamed the last Bullets meeting and actually stopped watching it after Blair came of it was so boring to watch.

Saturday coming the 15th will be the Bandits 3rd home meeting in 10 weeks, then we go all the way through to Aug 19th.
