Glasgow (28) vs (62) PIRATES BSN Final 2nd leg 21st July

Recommended Posts

In the BSN track walk with Bomber at the start of the BSN stream, Bomber stated that they'd done a lot of track work under the supervision  of (I think) Alan Bridgett from Monmore. Yet the track turned out to be very slick!! No surprise that Poole kept it tight on the night. With a fully fit Zach it may have been closer.

Nope Meridith. The doc retired years ago

Yes that was it Meredith. I guess he won't be coming back then?

Tbh I think it's been the weather. Forecast been for rain all week and there's no been that much. Even today one forecast was saying showers at 5. I believe Meridith was just looking at bend 3 that we've traditionally had an issue with in the past. God himself fixed it last time but he'll be too busy with worky and bewley these days

I assume it’s Andy Meredith, track curator at the NSS? I gather he’s been helping Glasgow for some time now.
TBH Glasgow’s track has been consistently better than Poole’s for some time now although Poole’s has been a bit smoother, and for some that means better, these last couple of years.
I like them both - Glasgow is fast and suited to riders who enjoy fence scraping, hence why Bomber and Basso score well there. Poole’s is an old fashioned track - it can be rough and inconsistent but, if the opposition are up for a fight, can make for really exciting speedway.

I prefer that sort of track to the Polish bowls which tend to be all about speed over technique.

Why was the track different today? Do you think they are putting us into a false sense of security for the league meeting and then BAM the track different again and we take half a meeting to get set ups? Hmm..

No, it’s just how it is sometimes with the weather. Weather turned out to be better than expected.

I hope referee Willie Dishington sees this, it was his dad.

It’s called respect your elders unless your from Poole and waffle a pile of Shi*e.

Its what he does, see Gavan’s post above sums him up perfectly.

Anyone would think Shovlar is a Brad Pitt lookalike going on his posts on this thread.

Not a 60 odd year old troll who spends time tweeting with a convicted paedophile who used to be on this forum!!!

Fair play to Lee tonight, getting it tight and was probably the match winner. Hopefully a start for better to come

He had a good meeting but when he won ht 2 I couldn't help thinking is this deja vu?

Justin Sedgmen had a terrible run with us and looked to be on his way out and then had his best meeting in The Stripes. Turned out to be his last meeting.
