Glasgow (28) vs (62) PIRATES BSN Final 2nd leg 21st July

There's a sign in the pits that says lanyards must be worn at all times while the engine is running even while being warmed up in the pits... how often do you see a rider take his lanyard off on a cool down lap... another rule that's not enforced

Well it was all very easy as expected for Poole. Would have liked to have won on the night but Havvy seemed to settle for aggregate by putting out Roynon in heat 14. Pirates in second gear. More at stake a week on Sunday.

But a poor meeting with very little overtaking. Just one race of merit when Basso chased down Ben Cook but failed to pass. Mostly from the gate only kept interesting by when Pirates would have the points to raise our glasses.

Track certainly didn’t live up to the Glasgow fans praise. Rubbish in fact. Think Wimborne Road is far superior.

Up The Pirates! BSN Champions!

Why is Roynon out? WTF? Gifted Glasgow a win on the night. Havvy hang your head in shame.

You give him too much credit.

Half decent meeting but we were never going to get close on aggregate, margin of victory would probably have been greater if Claus turned up.

You could also argue Poole rode slightly within themselves.

Why was the track different today? Do you think they are putting us into a false sense of security for the league meeting and then BAM the track different again and we take half a meeting to get set ups? Hmm..

Probably. No better or worse than the first leg. Was expecting sone feast of racing with passing galore but……….almost ziltch after the second bend. Even Bomber was adrift at the back. One decent heat but again Basso failed to pass Ben Cook.

It probably affected our lads more tonight. I have no idea why they keep tinkering with the track early part of the season it was the same most weeks, lately it has been prepared differently from one meeting to the next.

Congratulations to Poole they done the hard work in the first leg they set the bar most seasons.
