Congreave doesn't qualify for option C or D, he's not "new" to British Speedway anymore, also doesn't have an "established" average!

Congreve gets away with it on b hence he was signed on a 4.50 for NL.  Strangely didn't have English grandparents when he signed for Newcastle but thats a whole other story.

Either someone didn't do their homework properly, or the Diamonds were screwed royally by the powers that be.  Answers on a postcard.

But if he is "British" he'd be on a 3.00 average like Dayle Wood & Luke Killeen, the fact he signed on a 4.50 average for Mildenhall, means he was on the correct average for Newcastle.

You miss my point. He has British Grandparents, which means, surely, he should have been on a 2 at Newcastle, rather than the 4.00?

Anyway, this has little to do with Plymouth vs Berwick.

Good to read Mark Phillips advocating switch to Saturday Racing in the Star this week.

Very logical as they had a thriving kids set up in NDL on Friday nights and actively sought and got  decent family sized groups in.

Only Berwick now in CL on a Saturday so scope to pull in crowds not only from all over SW but further afield

OK the M5 can be a "car park" on a Saturday but by late afternoon it's generally a lot quieter.

Good luck to him as no one works harder.

No, it means he would start in the CL on a 4.00. Having British grandparents only grants him an ancestry visa, it doesn’t grant him a British passport. Even now he would start on a 4.00 in the CL.

If they ride Saturday in the Champ, won't they find it hard to attract riders that have a Polish club?

Well, Berwick have had a good few riders over the years who have combined quite a few overseas commitments with regular Saturday racing .....

Financially you'd think NDL on a Saturday may be best

Didn't seem a problem for Leicester nor Eastbourne but both were very much closer to major airports.

Ryan Douglas left Leicester cos they rode Saturday's when in the Champ though. That was my thinking. I'm sure some riders will be able to do Saturday. But the top end ones will prefer not to ride every Sat cos of Polish fixtures. Maybe that is why Berwick have a gap in fixtures as other teams can't get riders to commit to some Saturday's?
