4BenMoran
Unusual Monday night nine meeting for Sheffield (and no TV coverage). Can only see a home win and by some margin, the home team will be wanting to put the last home meeting loss to Leicester to bed. Holder and Musielak swap riding order with July averages in force, rest of the Sheffield line up as previous. Peterborough swapping Worrall and Cook around at 2 and 4, with rest as previous. I don’t think Sheffield will hit 60 but will be mid 50’s, I’ll go for 56-
Flappy
Can Tarasenko mix it with Holder and Musielak is the question the result a mere formality
Panthers99
56-34 Niels 6, Cook 3, Basso 5, Worrall 3, Tarasenko 12, Jenkins 3, Hans
RideHard
The last Russian to ride Owlerton did pretty well I hope Tarasenko can provide some good entertainment. Feel like the team was hurting after the Leicester meeting expecting some aggression on the track
AndyK86
Expect us to bounce back to winning ways tomorrow night but Peterborough look a lot better side now so hopefully provide some decent racing as well
tonyd
Expecting a good win by Sheffield tonight but at the same time I am not expecting Peterborough to just roll over, they are a different team now than they were at the start of the season. TTT
Another one for Speedway shambles. Sport in this country will finally be dead within the next couple of years.
Pitch
You have to feel for the Sheffield fans, their promotion always seem to end a meeting after 10 heats whenever they get chance.
RideHard
What an absolute joke! Rushed through 2 races in rain to get 10 heats in. blue sky’s 15 min later… most of riders looked confused that they’d called it off… want my money back
Panther1997
I’m sure many people will agree but I’ve seen meetings run in far worse conditions than that. It was wet but it wasn’t unraceable for me but I’m not out there on a bike risking my life. Only a 14 point defeat is a good result for us!! Picko came on the mic and confirmed it was the decision of the 14 riders not to continue. Don’t think the promoters have the power to call a meeting once it has started have they? tonyd
The right result for the Tigers tonight with the win and points in the bag. BUT I couldn't make it tonight and with the match only lasting 10 heats I'm glad I couldn't now because if I had been there I would have felt pi$$ed of and ripped off as well. Sounds like there are a few unhappy fans there tonight after the announcement. The size of the crowd will be interesting next week especially as the match is live on tv. Speedway bikes these days have to be raced flat-out. The sun was out on bend 2 and the back straight, we could obviously see these parts of the track were drying quickly. The problem came from the 3rd/4th bends and home straight which had no sun on it. Therefore the track will have been massively inconsistent, not to mention the glare from the sun going down the back straight. I agree with the decision to call it off.
Moranboys
Yes,and what I don't understand is if it was called off on safety grounds then why did the riders continue to ride in the wet, only to call it off when the rain had stopped and the sun was out...sorry but it was all about getting it to heat ten because the result stands.....hmmmmm now let me see.

I admit i wasn't there, But How hot is the sun at 9pm to dry part of the track out in 15 mins?
