Dave Goddard
Shut up, stop the pathetic fighting, and given the state of the UK and the sport at the moment maybe be glad you've got a sport and a meeting at all.

Bagpuss
If every Lynn rider showed the effort, commitment, desire and application of Simon Lambert we'd be a much better side.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. As to the state of the U.K. speedway scene, it is not down to the debate on a forum about a rider, it is all to do with the powers that be who run the sport. It is a shambles, it can be so good (look at the meetings from Poland this past weekend) and the supporters, the atmosphere and without some serious changes it will never match the Polish offering. The Poles take individual meetings seriously, UK riders pick and chose because of the poor pay rates etc. If you want to compete with the best start running it professionally or you end up with what you have in this country, a failed league system, intermittent meetings throughout the summer months and supporters who drift away because no one can take the offering seriously. You sound like a promoter banging on about being glad you have the sport I was glad when w had ride s who wanted to compete in individual meetings and did not not see league racing as the be all and end all. Why don’t you have a go at the riders or does that not fit your remit?

I'm a massive fan of Simon Lambert what he lacks (possibly) in talent he more than makes up for in attitude, effort and commitment... there's a lot of Speedway riders (even some of the big time Charlie's) that could learn a thing or two from him! JoeW436
I can see Ben Barker running Bartosz close in Cardiff, the poles may need to protect their golden boy

While I would have put Wright in the squad, winning a race against a weaker rider doesn't mean he'd score more points against the world's best than Ellis & Brennan.
SPEEDY69
Wright was unlucky there, if anyone had fallen on that first bend it would've been all four back

40-38
Anyone know why Dan Thompson wasn’t invited rather than Joe Thompson? Get the feeling he’d have been more of a spoiler.

The track makes weight far less important as track craft rather than sheer speed brings results.
