Woofy returns in 2024

Hang on a minute, let’s not start taking the moral high ground about loyalty when UK sides are happy to slash riders from their line ups whenever they wish, move then on during the winter and frankly change riders at the drop of a hat when something better comes along. That’s no different to Woffinden, when he went off fully committed to Poland. Let’s not start pretending the UK teams are fully of loyalists.

Thw only sport I can think off that those most in need of development can get replaced even though they are doing better than the level they were brought in at...

He’s not even interested in getting amongst it in the GP series once he’s missed the start so if you thinking he’s going to be banging round the boards at Peterborough or Sheffield you’ll be in for a shock, honestly if I was him I’d call it a day and focus on the things he seems to enjoy doing more these days, nothing left to prove

Tai is doing a DJ set at a festival in Poland this weekend, and good luck to him.

He may never be World Champion again, but he'd still be a quality 8 pointer in British Speedway at the moment. Having said that, with the possible merging of leagues he might have to come in as a 12 pointer instead!

Isn't it a bit ironic that when Tai is ready to come back there might not be a Prem to ride in!

No Wolves, no Peterborough, no Lynn. Looks thin. Some teams might be promoted  - Oxford, Poole and Glasgow- but that leaves Championship threadbare. Not sure if what I’ve read about Plymouth is true but that looks like an application to join Nora. NDL is staggering from what I have been told.

Do you really think Teams will want ProMotion given the state of the sport in GB.It would be financial suicide.Don’t think that would happen..

Lynn is probably the most secure ........

Don't know why you think there won't be Lynn next season.

Buster is absolutely adamant he's not running King's Lynn next season, so unless a new promoter can be sourced King's Lynn won't be running in 2024.

May be the rumours of Peterborough running at Saddlebow could be true if King's Lynn themselves are not coming to tapes. There's no chance of 2 Premiership &/or Championship clubs at one track working.

Given the figures quoted by Alex, finding a new promoter isn't going to be easy I fear. If you had no Lynn and the Panthers using our track, and still kept their same name, i don't think you will get many Peterborough fans  making the trip. Like wise Lynn fans turning up to watch Peterborough. I can't see that working myself.

As said by TTT on here about 3 weeks ago, you maybe could some how combine some of both teams riders and re name them ?

Given how both teams are doing, Norfolk Snails might be a goer

I remember about 15 years ago buster being adamant he would never run premiership/elite league speedway at Lynn, next season he took us up

Just to be clear, it was Jonathan Chapman & Rob Lyon with the help of Roger Warnes Transport that made that move. Same as now, Buster was merely just a (not so) silent owner/promoter. Buster wanted to remain 2nd tier.

Don't think  those rumours would be true.Financial suicide imo.Why would they run Peterborough at Lynn, there would hardly be any support there. If someone was to run at Lynn surely they would run a Lynn team to at least keep the locals going.

King's Lynn can't maintain their position at the top table with their current support either.

There's going to be a huge shift in British Speedway during the winter if Peterborough & Wolverhampton disappear anyway so none of us can call it right now, even the owners.

Interesting timing by Woffinden, to mention the desire to resume racing in the UK. Presumably he knows about the dire state of things and that, even if there is to be a "premier" league or even just any league, there will be probably be no takers at his required pay rate. Sounds like someone who is expressing a wish to do something he knows is very unlikely to happen.

Tai did say he wanted to ride in this country before he retires .....So may be  he is thinking  down those lines...After all B.Zmarzlik will take sum beating over all the G..P rounds....he's  consistently good..
