Woofy returns in 2024

Recommended Posts

And now for some good news.

There is a story/clip in todays Daily Star that Tai Woffinden has passed his name/interest on to be involved in the Premiership in 2024 rather than doing Sweden as he is now based in the UK.

it’s great news for speedway if it happens….I wonder where he will end up?

my only concern is what sort of premiership will there be next year

Is it though? is it not a little bit to late? when the sport in this country needed him he turned his back on us for the big money (fair enough I guess)

I think its very doubtful (though i would love to be wrong!) that there will be a premiership next year the way its going

Best years well behind him if his Polish, Swedish and GP form is anything to go by..

Easy pickings for a lad so good...

Still a big name so will get an excellent deal, and still put bums on seats....

I will go and watch him the first time he is at the NSS...

After that?

Watch this space...

Woffinden knows his World Championship hopes are over and his SGP days numbered, so he needs a couple of seasons or so with an easy pay night. The British league will do that, he just needs a daft club to give him the daft money.

Spot on, has not wanted to know this country the last few years, not even bothered with the British final for god knows how long, now he wants to top up his pension pot...

It was good enough for Mauger!!

Almost.  He had then Exeter promoter Peter Oakes change the Falcons race nite from Monday to Friday, that sealed the deal :D.  Not Barry Briggs, Anders Michanek, Ole Olsen, etc, etc could believe Ivan & Oakesy managed it, many still can't to this day :D.  Good news for British Speedway tho if Tai does return....
