Peterborough v Belle Vue Monday June 26th live on Eurosport

Does the Peterborough start marshal know the rules? Home riders are getting away with blue murder. Hans Andersen no where near the tapes. Does not call them in in gate order. He is pointless at the start.

Noticed that.   Hans Andersen miles back from the tapes (not that it did him any good), and in another race Jordan Jenkins was way over into the next gate!

Pretty decent meeting tonight.

Tarasenko was good value for his 1st meeting at the Showground had plenty of speed when he hit the front. Excellent heat 12 and a great effort from Jenkins to keep the Aces at bay but to no avail. The Aces were just solid from 1-7 with Mulford doing his part as well despite poorer returns from Wright and Kurtz they still deservedly take the points.

For the Panthers at least they have two "El Brassico" vs Stars in July

Good job Tarasenko is there to inspire the Panthers, otherwise it would have been a walkover.

The interesting thing is watching meetings like this inspire you not to go to watch it live and to keep your money in your pocket.

I had resolved to get out and about this season to a few tracks up and down the country, but the more I watch it on TV the less likely I am to do that. You just get the feeling there is no point in driving miles just to be disappointed. That's the real tragedy of the sport these days.

And still some think speedway on tv will bring in new fans, all it does is keep those that would normally go to the track at home, and any newbies happening to be watching away.

I quite enjoyed that.  Only Bewley seemed to make the outside work when behind oddly, but he is a class above any other rider on show tonight these days.

I assume that was an off night for Iversen & Basso? Wright & Kurtz came good at the end as did Rew for the Aces.

Brennan also did well.

Is Richie Worrall always that bad at the EoESg?

Even the guy doing speedway updates thinks Lidsey won heat 12 and not Rew laughable

Peterborough and Kings Lynn are an embarrassment to the league …. A number one with 3 third places…. A number 4 who can’t score and even Cook is being dragged down now

Basso tries… At home

Hans tries… at home

And can’t fault Jenkins effort even if he did cost his team by shutting off early

You say Peterborough and Kings Lynn are an embarrassment to the league ? along with Wolverhampton if these three team disappear next season , you wont even have a premier league next season.

But 2 teams there for the sake of it and not competing is no good for anyone.

Ownership of both clubs needs to change hands asap.

True , but if them two teams pull the plug ( And there's a strong chance they will )  they will be relying on other teams to move up to fill the gaps , so having a under strength team is better than not having them at all for this season

Well for what its worth I feel Peterborough gaveit a good go tried to win and were just beaten by a stronger side, some decent races - critical 5-1's again the Panthers in heats  1 & 8 and that is pretty much where they lost it. Tarasenko does look good on the big tracks as well! Belle Vue have won 5 away matches this season so no disgrace in this!

The Kings Lynn result is another matter however!

Should just go to one big league, 5 man teams stop all this doubling up rubbish once and for all. If riders can’t make it pay then they don’t ride here or they get a job like they used to.

Yes Doyle, bewley & emil are here but has it really done anything for the sport in this country? The crowds are hardly flocking back.

They need to try something drastic instead of just rolling the same old rubbish out season after season because at the rate we’re going there’ll be about 9 teams coming to the tapes next year.

I thought it was quite an entertaining match with some good racing thrown in at times, but it must be fairly clear to everyone that we are one or two riders away from a competitive team, we are just not winning enough races to win meetings.

The track set up is the same for every meeting , generally slick and tyre packed, white line dominated for half the meeting until the dirt moves out a bit.

Thats not my idea of a good race track, it’s clear from talking to others that’s not what the riders want either but it’s what they are getting and the large clay content is ruining tyres at an accelerated rate.

Worrall I am told cannot get his set up right, he came with Lynn twice last year and did ok both times, the track has been the same for years, funny how Tarasenko had it Sussed after a quick practice.
