Mimmo
Simon is riding extremely well for Scunthorpe this season, and whenever he's ridden for us, he's always given 100%, and not faked engine problems when last, like many do. I don't know why so many people knock him so often, although that isn't the case in these past few postings. He's local and has quite a few friends and some family that come through the turnstiles when he's riding, which is good for the club. He rides the Adrian Flux Arena well, so I'd be in favour of giving him a chance in the side. If Jakobsen & Pickering now don't want to ride for us, then thank you for your efforts whilst with us, but good riddance, as we want riders that are happy at the club. Okay, I've put my tin hat on, and am waiting for a barrage of attacks and insults.

Its a monthly cost within the household budget. A slightly reduced admission cost, perhaps a free programme, maybe a free seat in the grandstand, some kind if entertainment for the ad breaks either on the big screen or the centre grey, perhaps some junior races. Just something different, something extra. As for the meeting, Leicester look too strong down the order to me. Looks like 40-50 ish to me. Does it mean it's free for me to attend matches as i paid up front,it was within my annual budget

Always gives 100% and that's all you can ask from any rider. You know there's not going to be any funny business with him missing meetings because of tantrums, gp qualifiers or holidays in Venice etc The trouble is how does the sport develop more Simon Lambert's, the type of rider who should be the backbone of the sport, when clubs bin home grown talent off as soon as they hit a dip in form. It's no wonder that our current crop of kids would rather ride elsewhere and not in the UK. Edited June 18, 2023 by iainb

Stopping at home watching it on TV (especially KL fans) will not be helping their/our club financially. If we want to carry on seeing riders like Artem Laguta every week, then the club needs their admission money to help make that happen. We've got an undefeated World Champion in our team, so lets savour every meeting we've got him. I noticed the crowd was well down on last weeks televised meeting at Ipswich, and that's not going to help them keep Emil Sayfutdinov, who they quite rightly adore, which would be a shame. East Anglia currently have what I consider the two best riders currently racing in British Speedway, and the only way we're going to keep them here, is by going along and supporting their respective clubs, even when TV cameras are there. The big issue facing the sport.. The way they run it means you simply do not engender that emotional loyalty to your team.. Instead, you have a version of "sports entertainment", which, can be excellent, and is often nowadays, very good... However.. When you know that overall it is all a bit contrived, nights when you are on TV are the ones you can give it a swerve and save a few quid.. Can't play emotional blackmail with the fans and say they could lose their Speedway if they dont turn up.. Give them something to actually believe in, and invest their emotional attachment to, and they will...

Not true, rider's can return if long term injured i.e. more than 28 days. The only thing is Pickering wouldn't have been allowed back in for Kye. Clubs are also supposed to find a replacement after 28 day replacement but regularly get an extension.

Having just had a quick look at it,it seems that rule has been amended this season. But it implies to me as he is taken out through injury it says he is not allowed to be re-declared back in the team until 28 days has passed.Obviously a re-declaration has to fall on or under the points limit so in this case he can't replace Kye.But if it fell under the points limit it doesn't say he can't replace Kye. Another way to look at it is Sedgmen has barely lost a heat 8 all season away from home & Edwards not so comfortable at home, so looking to minimise the damage from that heat.

Sunny spells through the day, with the odd isolated shower developing from late morning, most likely in the west with elsewhere staying dry. Any showers easing off through the afternoon. Very warm. Maximum temperature 26 °C.

So I'm getting a bit of stick for this The point I'm making and obviously not getting across very well is that we have the basic Sky package with no Sky Sports, movies etc. just entertainment, even if I had no interest in any sport at all we would still get Eurosport as I understand it so tonight's speedway is automatically there on my telly because I choose to watch all the other Sky channels that come with the entertainment package. As it is I won't be finishing work until 7pm so it'll be the TV for me rather than rushing about like a blue arsed fly and probably missing heat 1 to be there.
