The standard of the racing is what really matters and Ashfield produces some good racing.Would expect a Glasgow win.Edinburgh not keen to explain the Cook situation which come as unexpected to them IMO.Has he not indicated how long he expects to be out of action.

Yeah, but good racing does require two teams. Hopefully it’s not a repeat of the Brummies’ trip up.

Rain has just started. Should clear up and will probably be good for the track in all honesty.

Where are you getting 4.73 for Sedgmen from?

From the bspa site. The figure is from his first two championship meetings. I wasn't saying that's what he's normally but so far that's his official total. Normally it's around 7 but he's not started well (at championship level)

Believe it or not there's monsoon conditions in Glasgow atm. If the track has already been watered then there's a real danger of this meeting being called off depending on which direction this large black cloud is heading next.

I’m hopeful… but I’ve said that before!

However, this started two hours before tapes up. It shouldn’t last long and the track drains well. I’m in Drumchapel and radar suggests Possilpark is right on the edge of it, with the front moving west. So hopefully we are OK. As people have started to turn up, I’m sure they will do what’s required to make the meeting run, if it’s possible.

Sedgy off the back of a Prem paid max, Kye having a confidence boosting best prem meeting so far, Bastion had a promising debut and will find the Ashfield bowl easier to ride than the Dale, Paco and Lasse have never had a good meeting at Glasgow so must be due one, and young Dayle showing last week he can pick up points at this level.

Wait a minute, I think we could win this one!

Note to Blobby - stop being so pessimistic, man, just relax and enjoy the speedway:drink:

You had a family packet of Haribos? That Monarchs line up is an embarrassment. Top National League teams would give them a run for their money. Silence is deafening from the blue n gold media outlets. Jacob wasn’t given a chance this season to prove himself. 5 riders were retained from the 2022 septet. Should never have happened. How bad have we become when we talk about damage limitation in a league match? Shocking state of affairs. Rant over.

The rain dance worked then. Better get back to it.
