Leicester v Belle Vue

Recommended Posts

I'm going to keep this short, I may post more tomorrow.

Was embarrassed to put my BV hoodie on once it was chilly enough to need to do so. Blodorn aside, I hope the riders feel the same.

Thank you Leicester Speedway for restoring my faith in the sport after the Oxford shambles yesterday.

Fricke was awesome, Beaumont Park suits him better than the NSS ever would have.

Nice to be able to walk around the entire stadium & take in the action from almost every angle. The exit from turn 2 view is the best, would be better still on a cloudy night.  No squinting as the riders exit turn 4.

I came on here expecting to see that people were saying that Max Fricke's win in heat 15 was the race of the season so far at Leicester but there's nothing!

I was at this meeting and Fricke was in a league of his own. New track record 58.75 (heat 1) and heat 15 was a classic.........move over folks ere comes Max for his Max! :t:

And a shout out for Pirate Lawson showing Bewley his back wheel twice, well done ship mate! :D

Shame Sedgmen didn't get heat 15 after racing unbeaten

In interview he said he didn't want it.

If the team manager wants to use him to build up a bigger lead for the aggregate point, then that shouldn't come into it, it's his job!

Having seen Sedgeman fade towards the end of the meeting at Oxford the previous night, I wouldn't have put him out in heat 15 last night, Harris & Lawson were riding well.  If the aggregate bonus hadn't been on the agenda, I wouldn't have given Bewley a heat 15 run out either, but it made for a good race as Bewley was finally gating by that point.  Must have dented his pride a bit being beaten from the back by Fricke twice.

For some reason they're doing a draw on the centre green for a competition to allow a scout group or football club etc. in for free. I have to ask why is it a "competition draw", surely they should be getting all of these groups in for free at some point during the season, these are potentially the next generation of fan,  beggars can't be choosers!

We are inviting a group per Lions meeting. There was no point in doing it earlier in the season when it was cold. The Syston Scout Group we invited to the Belle Vue meeting & had a great time.

We don't know what discussion was held in the pits as Dickson had a few options to go with alongside Fricke in heat 15. All equally cud do the job.

Imo Lawson should've been in with Fricke.

I don't know how the selection for riders for the Premiership Pairs at Leicester will be done but if the Team Manager has a free hand, then it wouldn't surprise me if he puts Max and Justin in to represent the Lions. This might be why he did that last week in heat 15 and would like to have done it yesterday.
