Tosh1218
I’m sure all promoters have to agree on the draft fixtures before they are made public

The lunacy of then scheduling the corresponding League matches so early in the cycle compounds the issue. Why not have corresponding League fixtures in late July or August. I'm told the Promoters used to sit down in Rugby and plan Fixtures on a day but since Covid it's now done by John Campbell. Poor bloke, can't be easy or a job anyone would want. Surely if they have a Spring Cup insist last 2 league fixtures are v teams you face in that Group and make KOCup an open fair draw. Same issues with Oxford apart from they did put the league one in the Summer hols for that one. Also Glasgow taking up 2 weeks of the Summer when they are down during the Danish break

Who ever compiled the Gladiators 2023 fixtures has done the Plymouth fans & management no favours what so ever. Who is this person please? Pasted from my previous post, still no name/s as to who is responsible! So is it John Campbell?
Wee Eck
Just now, Ghosty said: So is it John Campbell? John Campbell was the fixture compiler for many years if not decades, maybe still is. Teams have an input from day one and then a draft is circulated for consideration. Poole/Plymouth are suffering the same fate as Edinburgh/Glasgow have done over the years except the latter used to be worse with the Spring Trophy and the Scottish Cup (neither of which seem to be raced for these days). But, just imagine what it would have been like with two home and away. (Unless Poole and Plymouth meet in the play offs of course!)

Poole fans on here praising Plymouth and then you come on and do this …. Nothing changes when Poole aren’t doing great got to look for an excuse How about your number 1 not doing much and Lawson not much better … good job you got the Cooks who are carrying Poole at the moment

Steve Shovlar
Justice finally served but hindered terribly by utter incompetence from the ref. One outrageous decision after another. The meeting itself was decent enough but with very little passing. Proved when Trigger popped out and had an easy four laps. though well done to the lad. Heat 11 and R Worrall got a monster roller. He was two bike lengths up in the first few metres and as the stadium waited for it to be called back, nothing. But heat 12 took the biscuit. Barker lifted out of the start out of control. He clipped Ben Cooks back wheel and went into the fence. Clearly was going to be excluded but no, ref called all four back. Barker was interviewed in the interval before the rerun and said he lifted and lost it. Then heat 14 with Poole on a 5-1 into the first bend, turner fell. Red light. All four back. Turner warned for moving at the start. Rerun. Turner fell again at the back, red light, all four back. Justice served with a Pirates 5-1 with Kyle passing Gilkes on lap 4. Pirates strength in depth showing through in the end but dont think Ben Cook and Barker withh be sending Christmas cards to each other! Zach was on top form , overall a good team performance.i thought the ref let one or two starts go that could have been called back and Turner could of been excluded in heat 14 .

Poole were struggling tonight that much was clear I thought the Cooks would need to step up and they clearly have Zach much the better prospect after seeing them both at Ipswich this season
