Ipswich v Wolves June 1st

All this King must go talk is pretty pathetic. Before tonight he had the HIGHEST 2023 average of any BRITISH rider in the Premiership (yes above Bewley).

Are Ipswich fans really so fickle that they want to ditch him after one bad match?

It's not just Ipswich fans, I've read Glasgow, Redcar & Poole fans on the forum wanting changes, despite all 3 clubs having good seasons.

Is anyone else starting to get Peterborough 2021 vibes in regards to Wolves where everyone wrote them off before the season started (Myself included) only for them to prove everyone wrong and win the league.

Ipswich are such an unbalanced side to a point where it relies too heavily on King scoring 10+ a night as well as Doyle and Emil barely dropping a point to an opponent.

There's a few differences, Peterborough always had a strong number 6, not quite the same at Wolves (obviously Cook was awesome tonight) & Peterborough were greatly benefitted by Ostergaard getting injured so they could use guests in the top 5 for a rider who scored well at number 7 - not complaining - it was within the rules. Just feel Wolves are doing well without circumstances helping them along.

I also had predicted both teams to do well so find it hard to think of them as underdogs surprising everyone.

Decent meeting, heat 15 with all the passing and close racing is almost as good a race as is possible to see!

Dry slick track, were they expecting rain?

Thompsons needs a break from the team. Not improving, not on the pace and getting fed up of it.

King is King which is inconsistency/ doesn't adapt to different track conditions, but of course he is part of the furniture at Foxhall but for a team with title winning aspirations as a No 3 he comes up short.

That said Wolves were very good apart from Flint, seems like they are on a mission after the devastating news about Monmore Green earlier this season.

The biggest frustration is King. At home with the amount of laps that he has done around Foxhall in all different conditions he should be scoring double figures week in week out.

Bank holiday Monday v Lynn he threw his toys out of the pram when easily passed by Lynn riders. Last week v Leicester he seemed at times to be on the wrong lines & by the sounds of it was again last night.

I don’t think he should go at the moment as the rising star & what happens with Riss long term should be more of a priority but I would make Doyle captain.

It's no good Doyle/Emil scoring 25-30 point's a meeting if the other 5 or 4 plus R/R can't score 20 odd between um, it's fine if King chips in with double figures which he should really regularly at home tbf, and like been said young Joe ain't the answer and it can't be doing his confidence any good just returning the odd point every now and then.

I agree about Joe, it's a step to high to soon for the lad.  He like his brother, are great prospects for the future, if the sport has a future, and I'd hate to see his confidence destroyed.

Good racing on the heath again last night, not the result Ipswich wanted but never mind, fairy play to Wolves.

King does what he always does - frustrates but he's great mates with Richie so won't be getting dropped. Hume has the gating ability but lost positions last night due to backing it into the corners rather than carry his speed around them - very similar to how Jake Allen used to ride foxhall. He should have scored more. Thompson needs to be dropped or quit ASAP.

Can't compare experienced no.6s to the rising star. Thompson simply hasn't improved one bit this season, age has nothing to do with it. Plenty of past examples of 16 year olds getting better over the season. They tried him but should now admit someone else should have a go.

Keep reading King out,,,, but no one says for who. Is there anyone any better on that type of average

Like said who else is the, we all know the problems Lynn had and Peterborough are having finding/tempting rides over to the UK, and im sure the ain't no budget left for another rider from overseas after signing Doyle/Emil, the RS situation needs addressing first but yet again who's out there worth trying at the mo, obviously it seems Rowe/Kemp ain't flavour of the month for whatever reasons, whilst their carrying a non scoring RS it puts more pressure with extra rides on Hume and even more so if they run R/R also, it's been mentioned he suffers with arm issues after a few rides and you can see his scores tail off more often then not after he's done 4/5 rides.

typical knee jerk reaction to a disappointing home loss - I am sure no one is more annoyed about last night than him! That said I did expect better of him last night - up until heat 8 all seemed normal - however Worrall, hitherto pointless, popped out beating Danny I was thinking he should be looking to win that race. His final 2 rides were just a disaster tho

King is frustrating and even more annoying is the strops he seems to be having …… I like to see riders shake opponents hands if it’s a fair race and Danny didn’t once do that simply rode past the Wolves riders and didn’t acknowledge them which is awful especially considering 2 of them were ex team mates in Worrall and Zach Cook

They both seem to have something but away from Leicester, with a lot less meetings, they were always going to struggle at first.

Interesting that they haven't got a place in the Polish u24 league when the likes of Albitt, Hagon and Killen are getting places and rides out there.

In comparison to some of the others at their level, their experience away from Leicester and the UK is significant.

Your not the only one to have written Wolves at the beginning of the season TTT,remember seeing one post by Flappy saying he could see Wolves becoming adrift from the others(but it's not the only thing he's got wrong this season)as the year goes by.Personally feel Sheffield are still strong favourites for the crown, but are sure the Monmore men won't give up until the final race.
