Well listening to Craig Cook recently it’s clear that the Witches tried him first to replace Riss, it must have been clear to everyone that Barker wasn’t the answer but that’s the problem with top heavy teams, King and Riss were important to the teams success this year.

Wolves are riding well at present and now Becker is back a very solid top five especially at fortress Monmore, and with a free scoring reserve they are currently a danger to any team.

To be fair Jack Thomas was originally in and would have made a big difference. Riss and Thomas as RS and things would look a lot different so Louis has been a tad unlucky this time.

Danny has always been roughly between 6 and 7 average in this league,,, apart from 2 season ago when he had his best ever,,, which is when we should have let him go somewhere else the season after,,,, but he is what he is,,, a 6.5 ish rider,,, you cant  have Doyle, Emil and another top rider,, people wanted back up for Doyle,, and we now have it,,, and it was always gonna leave some weaknesses.

All this King must go talk is pretty pathetic. Before tonight he had the HIGHEST 2023 average of any BRITISH rider in the Premiership (yes above Bewley).

Are Ipswich fans really so fickle that they want to ditch him after one bad match?

Kings time is up drop him now while his average is high.

Riss as much as I like him he’s got to go as well as we can’t run R/R or barker 2 points below his average.
Them 2 would give us 13 points? GP rider maybe Lindgren? Could then could get Barker in as well as a proper number 2 to swap with Danyon at reserve

Thompson the poor lad been chucked in the deep end! Him turning up getting 0,0,0 isn’t going to improve him as a rider. Need to try something else

That would be rather harsh on Riss, don't think he's done anything wrong.

I don't think it is just Ipswich fans that are fickle,i think it is most speedway fans in general.

I have no inside knowledge , but I just can't see Freddie riding for anybody else. He is an out and out Wolves legend. I have followed the Wolves since 1967 and he is easily in my all time top 7, (the others are open to debate :o). When the GP's are not an issue I can see him having a season or two as a swansong (assuming we have a track that is)

I think I'm right in saying we can't have Freddie unless Doyle or Emil goes

And to be honest Lindgren in my view ain’t as good as either!!!

Would he hell, your team is based on King and Riss backing up the dynamic duo, when them or their replacements don’t turn up your vulnerable as proved by a solid 1-7 Wolves team, generally Batman and Robin get you home but it’s going to fail on occasions.

Well if you're talking Monmore then neither Doyle or Sayfutdinov have  a chance !  (just joshing :D)

don't get me wrong he is still very good, but in the Prem I'd put those two ahead even if they do come unstuck occasionally v's Wolves!

Trying to be honest, Doyle, probably, but Sayfutdinov no, based on Freddie's accumulated UK knowledge.

Thats ok objective / honest opinion fine with me - be nice if it got to be 'tested' as it would mean another top rider back in the UK! Lets hope he can line up for Wolves in the future!!

From a Wolves perspective I was fearing heats 13 and 15. In the home and away matches the result is 12-12, which, I have to say I am really pleased about. No in between though, all 4 heats 5-1 ! On the face of it we have done really well in those heats.

Think that just proves when them two don’t get heat advantages in 13-15 they will struggle for results, even Peterborough (after Nicki P’s half a lap) was beating Ipswich up until heat 13

Lots of comments and quite frankly speculation. However it was clear the track was far from perfect. However, I suspect with the average changes that changes will be made and will be made where and when certain targets are willing and available. Until then the rest as I say is speculation!

You saying Jack Thomas wouldn’t have made a difference to a rising star scoring next to nothing? Behave. Of course he would. And Barker isn’t a replacement for a 6 pointer (Riss) either. Those two make a difference to this team. Time for judging will be in the Autumn when the play offs come around. Let’s see.

I'd agree they're unfortunate to be without Riss, but the RS position is their own doing as far as I can see. Missing a 5 point Champ rider (Thomas) but had two 5 points riders available (Kemp & Rowe) plus 4.5 rider (Bailey) but chose a 3.5 rider (Joe T) instead.
