The 8 day rule doesn't apply if was with his contracted club and can guest for your top 3 in the averages 3

Come on lisa, you have mentioned this point a few times now just lately & with your age, sorry, experience, you should know you can not guest twice within 7 days at same club unless it is for your no1. I am easily confused! https://poole-speedway.com/news/view/20230523-lawson-misses-league-opener Doesn't say anything about concussion, just chest injuries. So hopefully he is okay for next week.

But good news they don't think he needs surgery.
szkocjasid
Personally I would have gone with r/r. Poole are very strong at home, so i'd want to give my riders more track time / races / earnings etc.

Richard is our best rider and should be our number one , much better rider than Steve Worrall in my view. His average is slightly lower due to his excellent team riding.

I agree he is your best rider but by carefully gathering bonus points he gets paid the same, reduces his average and gets lots of guest bookings and earns even more money.

I would have thought we could have got someone better than Sedgy although in fairness he is riding well at the moment, better than r/r in my view. r/r is a risk we don't need to take . poole keith
Guests aren't guaranteed to be risk free blue and with all the team eligible for a ride that might be less risk against a weak team easy win either way

Yeah, rather a guest than r/r sorry @Bagpuss !! As you only need a reserve to get injured in H2 and you will be struggling against anyone. Unless they bring a no8 in as well. SteveLyric2
Maybe its the plan to also have Sedgy on Wednesday and again at Oxford next Tuesday, with Danny King lined up for next Wednesday if Richard not fit?

Let's be honest Poole could've picked Stefan Nielsen & still beat Scunthorpe lol! Edited May 23, 2023 by szkocjasid
szkocjasid
I don't think it's a "risk" using r/r. Even if another rider gets injured & they lose - still gonna finish in the play-offs!
szkocjasid
I'll predict Poole 52-38 Scunthorpe. Douglas should score plenty from 7 rides, add Allen & Mountain probably getting 6 rides each so Scuthorpe shouldn't get thrashed!
