Fozzie4388
Wow that 3 and 4 partnership for Scunny bet that's scared the pirates be looking for an excuse to call it off or praying for Rain i reckon Edited May 22, 2023 by Fozzie4388
Weeyin
Unfortunately can only see a hammering for Scunny
Steve Shovlar
That’s a fairly weak lineup there. Douglas is good at Poole and Mountain at reserve should bang in a few points, but struggling to see how Scunthorpe can keep this one close. poole keith
thought and was hoping the league would be more competitive this yr but it certainly isnt, im afraid ignoring the stalwarts who are delighted with every win many are finding it pretty boring ,not a good business model.certainly not matt fords fault the league is so bad, many promoters appear totally incapable of building a competitive team.( cant wait for glasgow to visit)For the occasional supporter weds is a "give it a miss meeting"

Oh and it will never be boring when Glasgow have Harris, Vissing and Basso! Edited May 22, 2023 by lisa-colette

They moved down to save money, so I doubt it. Although the sponsors that Poole have might be attractive for riders.

It seems odd though to move down a league and complain other teams can't build a stronger enough side.

Steve Shovlar
It’s not going to be a 60+ scoreline. I remember fans saying we would rip Plymouth a new one and it was 45-45. Pirates should win this with relative ease but 51-39 is more realistic. And staying away as meetings are too easy brings about clubs folding. As Poole are one of the strongest, if you don’t support them against teams like Scunthorpe, you will only go one or two times a season! szkocjasid
With r/r at 2 meaning Douglas in heat 8, I'd have been tempted to go with: Lawson at 2, Rowe at 3 & Ben Cook at 5. I'm expecting a big win, so don't think the Pirates have anything to worry about & gives Ben a shot at heat 13 to see how much he's improved! Home matches on two Mondays on the trot followed by a Thursday then a two week gap etc, fans had no idea of when any changes of day would arise. If fans want Wednesdays and turn up in numbers that gives you funds to invest in the team, plus bigger crowds should bring in more sponsorship. Easypeasy this promoting lark Build a decent team with hopefully good exciting racing Ride home meetings on the same day of the week with only the odd change. Glasgow and Poole are 1st division clubs that are in champ due to various reasons(geography/race nights).

What’s the point of paying lesser riders the same money. The Clubs with money will always pay better rates. So why drop the points limit. They should put aCap on riders wages, but we all know that Self Interest with Promoters kicks in too the detriment of the Sport. It will never Change . ps Glasgow Promotion put their money into redevelopment of the Stadium.don’t think they throw money away now. They have good Sponsors( not counting themselves).
