Glasgow v Scunthorpe BSN Trophy 2nd leg - Friday 19 May 7.30pm

Recommended Posts

Looking forward to this. On paper Tigers should qualify ok but a few years ago Scunthorpe surprised us all by winning at Ashfield. Ryan Douglas will do well and Simon Lambert always gives 100%. I've been impressed by Connor Mountain and I can see him getting extra rides. However, the Tigers don't have any weak links and in the end it should be a comfortable win for the home side.

Not sure any of the Scunthorpe side have shown consistently good form at ashfield, even dougy had good and bad ones. But this season I'd imagine he'll take some beating. Lambert is usually worth more than his average, clegg and Allen generally not great and toft can be toddling around at the back in one heat then win the next by miles. 50-40 would be my prediction and if I was Scunthorpe I'd be swapping clegg and Lambert in the order to strengthen that middle order pairing.

I thought the Danish semi final was supposed to be tonight but Ben was riding for Peterborough. Does anyone know if this went ahead or are we possibly without Ben and claus tomorrow night? Or have I got my dates mixed up... Again lol

I personally would have gone for a J Smith/R Kinsley & J Thompson combination  compared to most teams reserves who have 2 pointers or assessed 4 point riders in those positions.
