If every track had Bob as it's trackman there wouldn't be half as many call offs as the is i reckon

To think when I got there just before 7 and Bob was watering the track is quite remarkable.

Yeah Ipswich are lucky to have him for all the work he and the other track staff put in, mind you it's also down to the promotion wanting to put a meeting on rather then just call it off at t drop of a hat without any effort going in to try and turn the track around.
SPEEDY69
They did sort the drainage out though, which is a big help and they also pack it down hard before a meeting so any rain runs off rather than soak in - not rocket science but very sensible and all credit to them. 25yearfan
Whilst I don't have a high opinion of Chris Louis as a person you cannot deny that he runs one of the most professional speedway set ups in Britain.

Cook (He at least tried, But the majority of his points come from beating Panthers riders rather than opposition riders) JJ (Won Ht 2 and then broke his nose, Our best rider this season done his job in one programmed ride) Anderson is more washed up than Iverson, otherwise I quite agree! Despite Peterborough being a poor, stale outfit, it was a decent meeting last night with passing and incident. I wish Doyle and Sayfutinov would miss the gate in every race cause they are pure entertainment when coming from the back!

Everything about Ipswich is spot on these days. The image of the team Kevlars, bike covers all matching gives the whole thing a huge air of professionalism. The website & social media feeds are fantastic. A huge well done on how the club has developed under Louis junior. Would certainly give the polish lot a run for their money…..

Always comes across as someone who the sport could use to shape its future... One of the few who seem to see what is needed to grow the sport... And that "same old, same old" simply wont wash any more..

I would also suggest that having a good sponsor takes the pressure off having to make early calls. I'm convinced that most early postponements are due to promoters being petrified of paying for air fares, rent etc and then either nobody turning out because is cold/damp or the meeting being off anyway. Speedway has spun itself into a web where most can't absorb the financial hit.

I'll never be a fan of the teamsuits cause I feel racejackets serve the purpose of the team aspect and it'd be nice to see riders have their own individual racesuits. My only criticism of Ipswichs colours are the fact they should be blue and white which are the traditional Ipswich colours! Yes if every track in the UK was run like Ipswich then the sport over here would be in a better position!

Aries
What I like about that is that it’s a great cut back pass, but he knew Worrall was still on the faster outside line so moved out on the last bend to stop his run stone dead. Intelligent riding.
