If hes as good as Poole fans say he is, he should adapt quicker to tracks hes not ridden before especially tracks that are a very similar shape to Wimbourne Rd,  he was poor at Monmore even though he had ridden there before he gets around Plymouth ok that's smaller than Wolves,  IMO he needs to move away from the home comfort of WR if he wants to progress to the level Keynan Rew is at now,

It doesnt help him being in a team as poor and lacking in confidence as Peterborough are, it would of been a bonus for him to have Holder around at least  to seek advice from,he cannot be enjoying his speedway when hes with Peterborough  , i would say now as a guess that next season he will most likely want to be at somewhere like BV where he looked far more at ease and his confidence would be higher

Strangely enough I don't agree! :D In the Champ he has been doing well home and away. Covering well for Steve Worrall's lack of form atm.

Basso is more of a concern as he has been doing very well for Glasgow, so it is strange he is struggling for Peterborough so much.

Basso was off remember at the end of last season and then I imagined was promised the world to come back, now it’s turned out the way it has he will be feeling pretty fed up

Maybe he is trying to get sacked and then sign for someone else! Basso been screwed over by whichever Champ promoters decided not to do 2H and 2A. As he wasn't going to do Prem if that went ahead.

Give it a rest the Poole thing is tiresome

Once again can’t stand Poole as a club for all the past stunts they pulled

Can’t stand some of your supporters on here because they are blinkered morons who actually don’t understand the sport and can’t see past their own club

Never have I had anything against their riders just because I can’t stand other areas

Ben Cook is a neat and tidy rider and is doing ok for his first season in the top flight though his home scores have been awful

He did ok at Foxhall and was one of Peterborough’s better riders which wasn’t saying much

My point that you clearly missed was he scored 6 from 6 … yes he was on the pace no question but yes I thought before the meeting he had the potential to win heat 2 and to also cause Rew a few problems but Rew was awesome

I’d hope my number 6 could get 6 from 4 not 6 from 6 but no Cook wasn’t the issue for Peterborough last night

At Belle Vue he beat Brennan and at Leicester he beat Lawson twice and Harris once …. I don’t think it was beyond the realms of possibility he couldn’t have beaten Rew and certainly had the potential to win heat 2

I think in 5 maybe 6 matches he has won heat 2 once … the way the team is built he needs to be winning more of those he is a championship heat leader

But he is doing an ok job in a side that is pretty pathetic to be fair

Can anyone else hear the grinding of teeth!!? Ha ha. Fair play Gav.  Due to visa issues this is the first year that Ben Cook could race in more than one league.

As many say your Poole blinkered for sure you would defend Putin's actions if he was a Poole Pirate !!

I’m not having a go at Ben Cook lol

He has progressed pretty well especially for you guys and is doing great at that level

In the top league he hasn’t done much to be fair but as I said the team he is riding for must be zapping his confidence

That’s what I said going well for Poole and pretty average in the top league

Why are you concerned about Basso he doesn’t ride for you

Taking things a bit too far now :nono:;)

Look at Ben's Champ scores H+A and tell me he hasn't been doing well esp at Oxford when you look at their HLs. That is just the truth, no bias.

Prob just jinxed him for tonight now! -_-

At least he has Poole to fall back on so doesn't lose too much confidence. Being at Peterborough has prob showed him that he has it good at Poole.

Anyway slightly off topic now ..

Ummmm isn't that up to me if I feel bad for someone who has had a rough deal.

Why are you so concerned about what I am concerned about? :D

If I remember correctly Ben started the season slowly but came good when it mattered , personally I have no issue with him as in general he has been terrific for Poole, he did struggle at places like Leicester last season but there is no reason why he should struggle at Peterborough. I would expect Zach to struggle more as he is not quite the same level as Ben. Both are good riders though and I would think they will both improve later in the season.

That's very harsh, he was their best rider given his lack of experience at Foxhall and first year in premiership. He was pressuring riders ahead, made a couple of good starts and passed as well. He was only passed by iversen in heat 9 because he was trying to overhaul Rew and made a mistake.  Peterborough's weaknesses are elsewhere.

from programmed rides Danyon 4+1 and Cook 3+1 - kind of what you expect a reserve to get really. Both will have better days - seems errors kept their scoring down a bit last night (for the record wasn't there either just going of updates and the heat details and comments on here)

Fast forward a couple of seasons and you would hope both in the 1-5 positions

Agreed they've broken him.

They're quite simply not trying hard enough to strengthen the team.

Where's the Pedersen money going? Crowds have been up but that will soon change.

There's championship riders better than what we have currently

Who is they? I've no idea who is running the show. The only person with responsibility and authority appears to be happy just to go through the motions for another 14 weeks.

He will learn far more about himself by riding for Peterborough than Poole this season .

Anyway few more months and what he does wont bother me in the least or any other Peterborough follower/ fan

Busters bank account

I genuinely hope nobody turns up and we run at a huge financial loss at every Home fixture now just so it puts a dent in Buster's bank account.

Lack of use and interest? Just the sort of thing AEPG need to bulldoze the speedway infrastructure and claim that there isn't the interest to save it or provide an alternative elsewhere: excellent negotiating policy and position!

That's true. How you need team spirit to win meetings.

I was there and updates won't tell the story, Cook did well last night and didn't settle for his position like most of the other Peterborough riders

Really enjoyable meeting I thought with some good racing. BSN doing a great job with the streams.

Rew looks a very talented rider, if he continues to improve and provides this sort of scoring to back up Doyle Emil and King then Ipswich are going to take some stopping.
