So because Nicki did 2 bends Peterborough can use guests same average as Nicki whereas Scunny and Wolves could only for 28 days! Crazy. Maybe rule should be changed to 'complete a meeting'.... at least!

Or a lap...:)

The rules governing this situation are contained in the Speedway Regs. 10.5     These have been amended this year:-

This facility will apply automatically for a period up to a maximum of 28 days. The Promotion may apply to the SCB Co-Ordinator for an extension

Presumably this means that a club must have demonstrated having actively sought a replacement rider for an extension to be granted.

They'll have to ride against someone next Monday. Only two home fixtures have been completed so far this year and their next free Monday is not until 17th July. So it will either have to be Ipswich plus guest ( Bewley or Kurtz) or they will need to shuffle their fixture list.

Would make sense to ride against Leicester but have a feeling rider availability may be an issue

Maybe Wolverhampton signing Nicholls initially as 28 day replacement then asking for the team to be declared back to Becker when Chris Harris was used in the KOC against BV didnt sit very well with Vatcher at the time

Rules only the Chuckle Brothers could have dreamt up...

"To me to you"...

"To you, to me"...

"We called Bartek and he said he would love to, but he goes out on a Monday, to the local Legion to play in the Darts, Pool and Crib League, and Thursday's he washes his hair"..

"So, quite valid reasons, and if he wasnt doing that he would be over here, therefore, not all doom and gloom for the UK version of the sport, like some of them on the BSF like to make out"..

"Can we have a facilty extension please?"

"We can? Cheers"...

"Give you a bell again in 4 weeks"...

Pboro won’t be signing a number 1 any time soon, as per the wolves statement this morning Neil vatcher is basically giving us a facility on a month to month rolling basis. That could carry on for the whole season which is probably more likely as the club won’t spend mega money if they are packing up at the end of the season

I'm gutted when any Speedway meeting is cancelled tbh. You guys at Peterborough really need to buck up a bit... there's over 400 pages on the Peterborough thread mainly about not having a number 1 and slagging your riders off. Many Panthers fans seem to be sleep walking into extinction

How can you possibly comment when you have no idea what it's like to follow a club that has been run into the ground by a guy who runs our rivals and don't give a crap..ooh let's all be positive because Ianb says so!

I thought he saved your club and won you the league the year before last... and signed you Nicki Pedersen for this year.

As a Coventry fan I know exactly what it's like to have your club run into the ground and ultimately close.

So when that happened was you all happy and positive about what was going on there?..sorry for the negativity but British speedway is a mess and this is the tip of the iceberg.

Looking at the amount of meetings called off, it's a good job they kept October free..:D

Rearranging for Thursday nights after Poland have had their fill may mean UK Speedway may have to become "5 a side"..:D

Nope... but i bloody well enjoyed my speedway for what it was. I wasn't apathetic at all, I for one was looking forward to enjoying tomorrow's Bank Holiday speedway

The forecast has indeed changed, as often happens. When you postpone meetings more than 24 hours in advance you always run the risk of that happening. The first band of rain that was due to hit lunchtime isn’t now predicted, but rain IS still set for late evening so they may yet be proven correct, not that it really matters now. The forecast yesterday morning did look dreadful to be fair.

Our club was doing fine until Holdergate. Chapman allegedly needed clubs to make up the numbers, no more than that IMO. He's been pretty well AWOL and silent ever since takeover, always allegedly continually wanting out and leaving others to run the show but then usually showing up when there is something to break. If the likes of Oakes, Frost, Rathbone etc had been running Peterborough Speedway then they would be out there fighting hard to keep the club going. What have we heard from the current owner? One centre green message at the end of last season saying that he'd secured the 2023 season, but at what cost? He's been silent ever since. We get Mick Bratley on local radio fighting hard for the club which says much about the current administration?
