szkocjasid
Imagine Joe signed for Birmingham the same time he was dropped by Scunthorpe. He could've ridden in both legs for different teams!
lucifer sam
WEATHER UPDATE AT 12.15pm There have been some heavy showers this morning, but the sun is out, it's 17 degrees and the track is dry again. There are more showers about this afternoon, but they clear up by 6pm, and the current plan is that it's still all systems go for tonight!

Mr Blobby
Nathan Albitt was declared as injured on Wednesday for the the match at Edinburgh in the NDL and is being replaced by Philips but fit enough to ride for Scunthorpe. Interesting.

IronScorpion
The re-staging could be in 2 weeks time on the 19th as there is only 1 fixture that day, Redcar v Glasgow. Makes the encounter interesting as, once all checks are made, Joe has signed for Birmingham.

Possibly Nathan gave a different reason than what the club are saying? Unless he picked up on injury in Poland on the Tuesday?

Fozzie4388
Was sat in the car park. Thunder, lightning everything. On the way home, Never drove in conditions like it. Certainly wouldn't like to do that regularly. Edited May 5, 2023 by Fozzie4388

I live in Ashby, 4 miles south of track & even though it was a storm, the forecast was it would blow over but I did not get a mile down the road as I was struggling to see through my windscreen so stopped & waited. A friend, who lives in Hull did similar & she stopped in S Ferriby.
martinmauger
I coudn't make it but I know folk who went, well they set off anyway. They got to 10 mins away - hit by total thunderstorm, rain bouncing off the ground, thunder, lightning, couldn't see ahead, so they turned round, meeting was officially called off at 7pm apparently. Was starting to rain heavily in Hull at that time & my uncle who lives in Newport, not the Welsh place but a village 25ish miles west of Hull, said it was absolutely hammering down. British weather eh ?... Edited May 6, 2023 by martinmauger spelling
scunny1
I was already in the stadium undercover in the stand and the whole track was waterlogged within minutes. Pity for the two Brummies fans, also in the stand, for a wasted trip.
