But at least Scunny put in every effort to stage their meetings - they will only call it off early in the day if the weather is truly dire. It means you build up a level of trust. Of course, there's still the odd wasted journey, but that's all part of speedway. On the other hand, while I'm not going to cut off my nose to spite my face and miss Glasgow v Oxford when it's re-staged, my plans to do Glasgow v Scunny the day before Workington v Oxford have been shelved today. What's the point in booking days off work, booking hotels, etc, when the Glasgow make no effort to put on meetings and seem to call them off due to rider availability rather than the weather? Sadly, I've lost all faith in the Glasgow management after today's shenanigans. I used to think they are a shot in the arm for British Speedway, but sadly no more. The weather was glorious last night but to be fair I had just landed in Tenerife. Your not taking this well can’t believe that a speedway meeting would be called off.it’s unacceptable.

What isn't is calling off a meeting for another reason, and then using predicted very light rain as a very poor excuse. After yesterday's shenanigans, you'll be lucky if more than a handful of away supporters bothering to make the trip to Ashfield, as the Glasgow promotion seem to treat away supporters with contempt. Keep on defending the indefensible, but when there isn't a Glasgow Speedway any more, you might start to wonder why you didn't ask more questions. 1

This off course is only your opinion and at a guess there is no tangible evidence to back it up. As I wasn’t in Glasgow last night I can’t speculate as to what the weather was like or what state the track was in. I am guessing you weren’t either so from that I can only gather that you are basing this on no evidence whatsoever but only what you think. There was also no tangible evidence to back up the real reason why Kings Lynn called off their match with Ipswich either, but most people are capable of putting two and two together. Wonder what it could have been… Again, Lawson and Starke for basso and vissing made Glasgow no weaker. It turned out to be the wrong decision but as has been said before there was a huge kick up after the Berwick meeting getting £4 back. When you're charging what is now a premium price you need to make sure you're putting on a 1st class product. Hindsight is a wonderful thing

And that insight is based on what ESP you have no idea what their decision was based on. Having a rant on here didn’t change the decision to call it off so as you seem in the know what was it based on if you can share this with us.

No rant from me - think you're confusing me with someone else. Regardless, it's a forum, so people are allowed to air their opinions and suspicions. Try not to take it personally. Jaizer
Just do as Sheffield did in 2011 and show up with umbrella's. Although given what's been said maybe rain mates would be more your style
