It’s a dead “sport” why anyone attends is beyond me, those that do just legitimise this nonsense.. you keep getting this b*llocks because people keep going.

Because we love Speedway! Some choose to ignore the daft rules / guests etc for a couple of hours & hope to be entertained watching the most exciting motorsport there is imo.

Hawkins again saying no change with Riss and it’s still a waiting game, surely they’ve GOT to make that change now? When you’re then missing another rider like Rew on Thursday, it throws up all sorts of problems. Be decisive and make the change!

In this case it looked to have strengthened Ipswich with Rew being missing?

It would have been one ride for Howarth, and 3 rides for Hume/Thompson. I wouldn’t say that strengthened exactly. Yes Rew has made a slow start here, but he’s getting better by the week.

That’s obvious surely? They’re missing two important riders. They have a much better chance when Pickering is back at reserve who’ll be a serious weapon there around Lynn.

I’d say no probably about it. How anyone can seriously buy that guff is unbelievable!

Just another of the usual self inflicted nonsense that gets allowed to take place..

All driven by any old Speedway getting cobbled together..

In a proper sport, if a team cannot make the event and the public would be short changed then it wouldnt take place..

In Speedway, they "find a way" to run meetings, with a contrived operating model, which just destroys the legitimacy of their competitions..

Which then leads to conjecture and cynicism when something like this happens..

I am sure this reason is 100% genuine but there is a history in the UK of when the home team in particular has issues, something akin to a sudden plague of locusts descends on the town or city the night before..

(I remember one night at the old BV track when the No1 rider couldnt get there, a flood that only Noah could have predicted hit one of the bends and the meeting was called off)..;)

Yet, the away team facing similar issues will just turn up with whoever is available..

A proper sport simply wouldn't run if the teams were not contracted to the respective clubs, and Speedway in particular, given all the logistics of riders potentially getting injured on any given night of the week around the world, should have the caveat in its overall operating model that meetings can be called off for genuine team issues, such as two riders or more missing from a septet..

One rider missing then RR, or a No8 step up..

With consequence for anyone failing to follow the rules..

Running "Guestfest after Guestfest" leads to fans expecting Speedway every week, so when "something" happens, then the conspiracy theories come out..

LOL.

Up there with the floodlights and the electrical issues of previous years. Hopefully Mr Morris will be visiting to verify and hand out any fines and points deductions/awards as necessary.

Embarrassing.

I know of 6 engineering firms in Lynn alone, and plenty of timber suppliers. Not sure what parts they are waiting 4 days for though:unsure:

No one cares what the punters think. Chapman’s stance is it is my money invested and I do what I like when I like which is an admiral attitude providing it applies across the entire U.K. speedway world which everyone on here knows is not the case. The speedway mafia like to bully many clubs and hate anyone breaking ranks but despite that the main thing is let’s screw the public, it has nothing to do with them what we as promoters decide all we the speedway promoters want is the gate money. It seems so early in the new season but already you have guests galore, six man reams with lucky old R/R making up the numbers, overseas meetings causing issues in the U.K. and yet no one gives a toss about the punters or has the balls to stand up and say it cannot continue to be run this way. No wonder so few attend these days and no one outside the group of diehard supporters takes speedway seriously. If it was a credible sport, where are the major sponsors without whom you still have the current attitude that prevails amongst most promoters of it’s my way or no way.

A very dubious call off imo,but also on the other hand maybe the pit gate has been damaged I don't know I'm not there ,neither are any on here I suspect.

Should please the people that don't like the R/R and guest facilities anyway:rolleyes:.

As for some thinking it was called off because Lynn were missing Klindt. That was a god send him missing at home:shock:

As someone posted on Twitter reverse the fixture have Ipswich v KL  at Foxhall it saves wasting a Thursday night which come October could prove vital and will see if it’s really the pit gate or lack of a team .

Yes, and if there was proof of the damage then why not post a picture of it. Oh yeah I know what. Because there is no damaged gate
