Indeed. I still remember him postponing a meeting a few years ago because he supposedly couldn’t get an electrician to change a fuse on the track lights.

It’s hardly unexpected for a stock car to run into a safety fence is it ? One wonders how it passed the safety check in the first place if it won’t take a few crashes.

I remember that also.

I don't see why they can't legitimately call it off if they have a depleted team, on agreement with the opposition & Mr Morris.  I'd much rather see a meeting with two full teams.

Spot on...

However, to deliver two full teams each meeting would mean a Speedway Season lasting about five years...

(In fact, it could be one of their five year plans that always prove so successful)...:D

If the stockcar gate was that broken they would be unable to race. That's a fact.

And if it was broken on Monday three days to get someone to fix it and make safe surely wouldn’t be hard.

klidnt is unavailable as is Pickering and they’ve cancelled the meeting to hope to have a better chance at a later date, pretty obvious, broken gate is a smokescreen

If the stock car gate was broken why wasn’t that event abandoned? Unless it happened on the very last lap of the very last race or the whole story is a complete lie.

Oh I agree completely. Buster is pulling a fast one

Dont think it was the stock car gate broken  , it was the fence that incorporates the speedway pit gate

Was the stock cars abandoned then with the fence badly damaged? I’m intrigued to know what the ‘magic part’ is that now isn’t arriving until Friday to sort the fence. Was it a hammer? :D
