Fortythirtyeight
Oxford thoroughly deserved their win , good solid points scoring throughout as opposed to the Bears but not a very entertaining meeting which was very disappointing as the track shouldn’t be prepared to stop the opposition , which was clearly the tactic by only watering the last six feet by the fence despite it being as dusty as a nomads pockets. Track ‘ grading ‘ took an age due to using the same driver/ promoter to use both vehicles then add in an interval , it did drag on after the late start. Still, an impressive home win and a very , very good crowd, Oxford are a certain play off team and Atkins and Jenkins very impressive British youngsters.

Agreed, good to see them attack the track and considering time taken to grade and water people were tasting plenty of that dust. I do wish that the centre green presenter would drop the peter York ism of announcing Jenkins and Atkins as JJ and HA on every occasion and chance he can gets a bit grating after a while. It amazes me that the Oxford SCUMBAGS (sorry I mean promotion) tapped up a Redcar asset much to the Bears detriment and there was absolutely no on track sanction given to them. I'm sure Redcar will have the last laugh. Although it is one way to know if someone really wants to ride for you or not.

Think you need to grow up. The Oxford promotion are far from that ridiculous comment and are showing the way forward in very difficult times for the sport. Tapping up ? It happens all the time, in every sport and more so in speedway. Who’s going to sanction anybody when it’s done by absolutely all of them from the top down, it always has done since the sport started. Technik
Jordan Jenkins is in a great run of form at present, he's making that run around the outside on turn 4 his trademark. The most entertaining rider on track again last night.

Because everyone does it does not make it right, in fact it's morally wrong. Did the Redcar promotion report the incursion to the BSPL.? 1

Fortythirtyeight, yourself and I am sure many others may think that the Status quo in speedway is fine yet I keep reading on this very forum how it is also a dying a sport. There seems to be little faith in the BSPL, there seems to be little support for the guest system and at the same time so I keep reading attendances are dwindling. I write on this forum about something that has really got under my skin and get lambasted for doing so so who am I?... I am one of those people who pays through the turnstiles to support my local team, I have stood there watching them win the wooden spoon and watching them win the KOC. All of sudden there's a sense of optimism around the place and season by season we are building t feels as if the holy grail is just out of reach but achievable. Then out of the blue towards the end of last season the whispers start spreading that Lewis Kerr and Jordan Jenkins are going to Oxford and that Jenkins despite being an asset was tapped up. If you think that I am the only supporter outraged by this then you are surly mistaken, I must just be the only one to write about it. To be told I owe the Oxford promotion an apology because "everyone does it" is ridiculous because unless something is done to alter the Status quo more people will stop attending. This Redcar Bears team with Jenkins in place of Bailey would be massively stronger and I am bitter at Oxford "cheaters" for that
