If they did, it turned out to be a very smart move on Mark Lemons part! That actually seemed to be the case to me as I thought Dan backed off in heat 13. As you say a smart move by Mark Lemon! Fricke has appeared in heat 15 in the three home meetings to date. Based on his performances in his programmed rides, it begs the question as to whether he should have been nominated for this heat. His total points return in this final heat is ………one. The majority of people on this forum seem quite chilled about Max ‘give him time, needs to get used to the track etc’ but he really does need to get himself sorted ASAP. Excuses for his sub standard performances are rapidly drying up.
TTT
How did Leicester manage to throw this one away. Maybe it's time to replace Max Fricke and Jake Allen.

He's way better than that and you know it. When compared to the Emils, Doyles, Lamberts (which I did) he isn’t in the same league. On the world stage he is a bang average rider. SHOULD be doing better than he is, and you know it.

He’s only had three home meetings, but is being beaten by visiting riders who have never seen the track before and aren’t heat leaders. But give him time eh? What must the rest of the team think when their No.1 is a passenger and a GP rider at that?

False dawn
For those who weren't at the meeting or didn't stay afterwards you should know some of things Max said in interview post racing. He described himself as "The weak link" and his performances are "Just not good enough". So if anyone thinks he's just collecting the cash and doesn't care about the team, think again.

That showed up in the GPs. Yes he won one however was literally no where else in the others he competed in. Plus this exposes the Lambert for Fricke switch in the play offs. A world class rider replacing a bang average rider because his average allowed. Fricke didn't have a great GP season last year, despite winning the biggest GP of the season. In 2021 however he finished 8th, which is "bang average" of the worlds 15 best riders. He finished ahead of Jason Doyle and Robert Lambert, the Robert Lambert that replaced him because he broke his sternum, bruised his lungs, sprained his shoulder, cracked his shoulder blade and suffered concussion. Dan Bewley's current average: 7.13, Max Fricke: 7.56 "class number one like Pedersen"

Speedway isn't a long campaign so decisions have to be made early considering theirs only 1 play-off spot up for grabs if we're being realistic (BV, Sheff & Ips in no doubt) Watch Poland they even take out riders after two rides if they start poorly, Happened to both Matej Zagar and Scott Nicholls this week. Depends what type of budget Leicester are on when it comes to finding a replacement, Chris Holder could be worth a shout. 44 minutes ago, justathought said: And who do you suggest he gets replaced by ? Hopefully you don't sign a replacement and Max keeps underperforming because Panthers might be able to get the Bonus Point off you providing we can get a half decent guest in on the night. Maybe so. But this is not Poland, is it. It's a league, and sport, that's on its arse in the UK. Because nobody has any money, the people who run speedway in the UK haven't got a clue and when you can only attract a crowd of 3000 on a good day. It ain't going to get any better soon. Max will come good, though he never really dominated at the NSS last season. He had a slow start to 2022 and, whilst he was at no. 1 early doors, we often saw a visitors 5-1 in heat 1.
