Some riders turn it down. Wasn't Josh going to guest for Glasgow at one point in jubilee thingy last season but then changed his mind.

Proctor said he is just doing speedway for fun now so prob not interested in the rights and wrongs of guesting! More money for retirement.

I think from Proctors perspective...its all about getting some laps under your belt....especially after his long lay-off and all these rain-offs to boot!

I don't think there is any right/wrongs from a guest's point of view...he no doubt just 'wants' the money (as Lisa points out....)

Getting back on topic....

Personally, I think we'd of been stronger had we used R/R for Wright tonight.

Paco is slightly above average if he gates, but I can't remember him passing anybody in all his time with us.

I hope to see an improved Paco tonight!

I agree, especially with Sedgmen getting an r/r ride

Weather looks dry if a bit chilly so lets hope hundreds wrap up and get down to PB tonight to support Nigel and Laurence and the team.

Lets not forget those Tracks that have closed / are closing and that Speedway Racing and entertainment is far more important in the bigger scheme of things than win at all costs and breaking the bank.

We don't agree very often.

Out of interest, when was the rule that stated that a rider needs to have ridden for a team, before that team can get a facility for his absence, removed from the rule book? Brummies fans may remember we came a cropper under that rule when Emiliano Sanchez was unable to start for us in 2007 and the team had to use a 3-point NL reserve in his place. It obviously doesn't apply now, if a facility is being granted for James Wright, but it'd be interesting to know when it was removed from the rule book.

Did Sanchez ride in the team at Birmingham in 2006 ??

It would be good to not have what appears to have become an almost annual mid season concern about Birmingham..

The people running it certainly seem to be trying to make the sport viable in the UK's second city..

(Behind Manchester);)..

Best wishes to them and their endeavours...

Let's hope they get the crowds their financial and emotional input deserves..

It needs credibility though.Racing and Entertainment is important, but you need fans to watch it.

The League is just a set of Challenge Matches these days.Everybody riding for Everybody when it suits.

Manchester will always be the 8th biggest City in England by population. Cheating with the "Greater" bit just doesn't cut it lol...

Having said that, it will most likely end up being a T/S ride for Morris ! :D

Going by last years result & previous years away performances, this is a meeting I am looking forward to as Birmingham have not raced yet & it will test us with the riders we put together this year(almost) to see how we perform & pick up points on the road.

It has not been a good week for our riders performing in the Premiership but this is a lower level. Hope it is good racing & riders stay safe.

With regards the Sanchez my comment wether he rode in for Birmingham in 2006

if he had rode for Birmingham in 2006 and was named in there 2007 line up and it was approved by the BSPA  then a guest facility would have been available to them  . So the snide comments wasn’t really needed was they ?..

But James Wright didn't ride for Birmingham in 2022 but they have been given a facility so you're logic is actually flawed regarding that's why you have one for Kennedy

My comment is about a reserve replacement if you had read the original post

Birmingham get a facility for James wright as  he is the 3rd heat leader
