Not our fault if Plymouth are rubbish at gating. The grippy starts have been a thing at Poole for a while now, nothing new.

As a neutral who was there I think it was telling that the Poole riders, on the occasions that they missed the start, couldn't pass either.

Was there a genuine pass all night?

I don't know what was said about the track on BSN. It may well have been smooth, but it was dry and dusty and appeared lacking in grip.

Poole are to be admired for putting together a team which must be favourites to win the league again.

Can't fault the Ford's always build a winning team but the track must have enough shale as to allow good racing, passing and exciting heats trap and go is no good to fans will only fuel the Poole haters on here.

Only Richie moaned about it in an interview. Said it was the worst it has ever been at Poole (a lie! - although track wasn't great, was better on Good Friday - defo has been worse then that tonight though) And also the track wasn't as bad as this when he rode for Poole (another lie - as I seem to remember lots of bumps and holes, even one made by Rob Lambert and Craig Cook when KL visited).

Moan about the track but don't twist the past to suit your agenda. And also the crap about the trackman was very unnecessary. Good job it isn't me is all I'm saying!

Maybe he should stay at home on May 3rd :t:

I didn't catch the meeting last night but fair to say it feels an ominous start (purely based on results) for Plymouth. The team is built on the top 5 all needing to perform and if they don't this is the likely outcome at most away tracks.

Howarth is normally dynamite at Poole but doesn't seem quite dialled in this season and I know Barker blew an engine at the Starke testimonial so fingers crossed he can get going. You'd hope the others will improve with more laps but lots of improvement needed across the board if the Glads are compete for a playoff spot when the league gets underway.

Oh hello, it's you, you've popped up on here now!!!

A chap from Highways tells me that you weren't exactly a neutral, as you were supporting one particular rider!!!!

With regards to the no overtaking and general track conditions, the same comments are being made about Oxford last night. Must be something to do with global warming.

Have a nice day, and I'll see you on the Ipswich site tomorrow.

An alternate take on last night's meeting, after heat 6 when all the Gladiators have had one or two rides to learn the track, gearings etc Poole won the last 9 heats 29-25! I know Plymouth were horrendous to start with, but at least they improved as the meeting went on, is that not what away teams are supposed to do?

If they can start like they finished next time, could be a much closer match!

These last few years, they have filled in the holes & smoothed/levelled the track to give better racing but now doctor/rough up the starts to make gating the most important part of set ups.

That's been happening for years at Poole. it's nothing new.
