Ipswich v Belle Vue 13th April

Recommended Posts

Not sure I go along with most Belle Vue fans playing down their chances here. Yes they’ve started slowly, but they’re a good side who most tipped to challenge Sheffield again for the title. Hume has started slowly in both leagues and he’ll have to take two of Riss’ rides, so it’ll be tight. Witches by 6.

That's got BV's season going then. Good performances all down the order.

Special shout out to Anders Rowe who looks a decent addition in the RS position - can he replace Mulford permanenty?

No one in double figures for the Aces..

A very solid team effort...

Rowe will have the beating of most No7's, so worth a permanent spot I would say..

Mulford can then develop via the Championship and NDL..

I know it's an early call,, and always I will be shot down,,, but we need changes,,, far too weak down the order,, and gonna predict another loss next week against Sheffield. If Doyle Emil and Danny don't all score lots and lots we will struggle against the more solid sides.

I'm sure everyone will say give em time,,,, but there isn't time.

Big call to make on Rew I think.

5.00 assessed average and you're only getting 3/4 point returns out of him, Craig Cook is available on a lower average.

Not really, Rew will be fine. It’s only his 3rd uk meeting. The rising star berth is a concern

Will Rew be fine? Doesn't look like he can gate to me,,,,and that's not great when Foxhall is your home track.  We could keep Rew because it's early in season,,, but what about if nothing changes and we lose the next couple as well,.

Always the issue when you go with two "big hitters"...

It all pretty much depends on them when the engine room struggles..

And that then in turn puts undue pressure on the reserves..

Rew looks like the one who Ipswich may not be able to wait for, given Riss and King are known performers at 3rd HL/SS level..

I totally agree. Weak tail and far too much reliance on the top end. The compromise has been to spend lavishly on a few and hope that it reaps rewards but in reality you need a cohesive one to seven that all chip in. Hawkins spin will be bull.hit and for Louis it has been the last throw of the dice given the years of lack of success. They need to act now or they will rue the day that they gambled on the current set up. Only a few weeks into the season and  across the league it is same old same old despite the inclusion of some European stars. Says it all really that GB speedway is not a major attraction for the top names except that a few see it as easy money and the mugs pay top dollar with the fans left to pick up the bill with no say and the promoters taking the pee from the paying punter.

Ipswich don't have time which is the problem because Emil's average is going to sky rocket.

So a massive decision has to be made on Rew beforehand as to whether Keynan is worth risking on the 5.00 average.
