Probably out for a month or so but at least no home meet for three weeks.

I think Sheffield could easily cover for Musielak at home using r/r (everyone gets a ride) it's away from home they may need him more. However with the current play-off situation, teams don't have to be at their best all year - just in the final 4 matches.

any news on whether Kerr has been sanctioned for his antics last night?

it was amusing (and a bit embarrassing) to watch especially after Phil Morris was preaching about improving the product on BSN.

if Kerr doesn’t see a punishment then it diminishes Phil’s credibility in my view.

Phil's certainly famous for 'closing doors' -  it would take a lot to affect my view on his credibility.

Well, Lewi Kerr (and Benjamin Basso) got fined for their attacks, probably £300 each.    But this has nowt to do with Phil Morris.   Referees report such incidents to SCB, who levy the punishments.  Phil is is charge of 'improving the product' for the Premiership, not disciplining handbag-wielding riders....

I personally don’t think it does a lot for speedway if you are trying to improve its perception as a professional sport.  This must come under the remit of improving the product?  Sure I understand it’s about entertainment and supporters enjoy it when emotions boil over.  At least it shows the riders are committed.  In that sense some would have come away from the meeting with their experience of the product enhanced?  However, sponsors might think twice about being associated with a sport where physically attacking a fellow competitor appears to be just part and parcel of the spectacle.  The BSN camera crew and commentators were also quick to follow the action.  Part of me feels they shouldn’t have given it the publicity it got.

Ice Hockey thrives on such incidents...

In the US they became very focused on losing that image until they got a fan backlash, with the fans wanting such fights to happen, as it added to the spectacle and the intensity of the rivalries..

Speedway clubs willingly share riders with each other virtually every night so making the sport one that generates passionate rivalry will naturally be difficult to achieve, therefore a bit of personal rivalry can add to it..

I also think the BSN have done a good job reporting on it and making abit of a story about that. You get nothing of the sorts from the BSPL site and the speedway star.

Fisticuffs and handbags is fine as long as people aren't holding grudges and fencing others on purpose in retribution.

Lewi has held a grudge for over 2 years according to the story & what Lewi said in the SS after he did not perform for Redcar T Edinburgh but 24 hours later put in an almost faultless performance for Peterborough.

Yep appreciate that, wasn't talking about their incident in particular. As a general point just don't want riders ending up inured through intentionally dirty moves during races.

it’s ok Nicky has quit the Panthers if you hadn’t heard.  The only rider he fenced this year was himself
